Building on what zahavasdad said, you could try an apple crumble. Very easy, and something everyone likes. You can also add other fruit like blueberries, cherries etc.

Why don’t you bake brownies? You can even make them from a mix. You can also take cake mixes and “doctor” them up. There is an easy recipe for doing this – I can look it up for you. You add oil, instant pudding and chocolate chips (to a choc. cake) and for different flavored cakes, you just add different pudding plus the oil. It is really easy. Do you want the recipe?

I think you can use the general method instead of a specific recipe but if you want I could try to look for one later.

    Approximate:

Two parts flour (sifted for bugs)

    One part sugar

oil (slowly, it should form crumbs)

    cinnamon

    apples (or other fruit)

optional: cook first with some (a little) oil and sugar to soften before baking.

Do a layer of crumbs on the bottom*, a layer of apples, a layer of crumbs and top off with some cinnamon for extra color.

*keep the bottom layer thin otherwise it won’t bake evenly and it’ll be hard to cut.

Let me know if you want a real recipe.

    Enjoy!

This is a great pareve ice cream/cream pie.

    one whipped topping

    one 16 oz marshmallow fluff

one pkg.(10/12/16 oz,) of strawberries, blueberries…)

whip the topping, and blend everyhting else in food processor. then fold the mixture into the cream.

pour into a crumb pie crust and freeze. doens’t freeze solid so don’t take it out until you want to serve.

You can try with two different layers/colors.

I made this for a yarzeit siedah as a dessert(my wife gave me the simplist recipe she had so I had less room to make a mistake 🙂

    2 c flour

    1 tsp baking powder

    1 stick margarine

    1 egg

    3/4 c sugar

    1 tsp vanilla

    pinch salt

Mix together with hands until crrumbly. Pat half of this in a 9″ greased pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon, spread one can of any type of pie filling (I use apple or blueberry)over the dough, sprinkle a touch of nutmeng and lots of cinnamon and top with the rest of the crumbly mixture, patting down gently. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar and bake for about 40 minutes or until browned, at 350 degrees. It makes the whole house smell heavenly.

    Doctored Cake Mix

1 – box of cake mix

1 – 4 serving size pack of instant pudding

    3/4 cup cold water

    3/4 cup oil

    4 eggs

Beat every thing together until smooth – this should be easier if you add the eggs, one at a time. Bake in a greased bundt pan at 350 for 50 – 60 minutes. Let cake cool a few minutes in the pan and turn out onto a cake rack to finish cooling.

Use the same flavor cake mix as pudding.

For lemon cake, add 1 tsp of lemon flavoring and some lemon rind, if you wish. You can also add just under 1/4 cup poppy seeds.

For chocolate cake, add 1 tsp. vanilla and add about 3/4 cup chocolate chips if you want

For orange cake, add 1 tsp. of orange flavoring and some orange rind.

If you use a spice cake mix, add butterscotch pudding.

If you want an ices type of thing you can try this. It takes approximately 2 – 21/2 min. And is beatiful and heaven:)

1 bucket Klein’s Strawberry or Pomegranate sorbet

    1 bucket Klein’s Mango Sorbet

1 pack of 12 sandwich ice creams

Let the ices soften. Place the strawberry/pomegranate sorbet in a pan about an inch thick. Freeze until sturdy. Put the sandwich ice creams on the strawberry layer. Place Mango sorbet on top of the ice creams. Freeze.

    Cut in squares and serve.
