    I need some info on this. Can any tell me how to find a decent write up of the maskanos, particularly a description of the high court’s decision. (I have a copy, but no way I’m muddling through their terrible hebrew.)

    you’re talking about the case a couple of years back in Ashdod? or is this a new case?

    yah, a couple years. back ended up with a decision in the israeli supreme court, written by a frum judge (who I’ve met)

    It’s Rav Druckman, BTW.

    A(valid) point made by one of the leading DL Rabbonim recently was that every shnook who gets elected to the Knesset from a Chareidi party is automatically referred to as Rav so-and-so in all Chareidi media, while true Talmidei Chachamim from the DL community are commonly referred to in such media by their last name only, with no title. While you may or may not agree with the piskei halacha of the DL Rabbonim, they at least deserve proper Kavod.

    DY: By the way, I asked around. Can you provide some sort of source for this alleged statement that Rav Druckman had to meet quotas of a minimum number of people to convert?

    The facts demonstrate that Rav Druckman’s converts are valid even if only be’diavad.
