Joseph, in mussar yeshivot a man was NOT Allowed to grow a beard until he married. If you look at old pictures you will see that only the rabbanim had beards.

Men were shaving thier beards way before the nazis came to power. What does that have to do with chassidim wearing nazi style boots?
Joseph, its the new year, try talking sense.

“Joseph, in mussar yeshivot a man was NOT Allowed to grow a beard until he married.”

Why the past tense? It’s still this way today.

Anyhow, if Takes2 is not joking with that boots statement then he has way bigger things to worry about than being clean shaven. Maybe he should drop his Nazi-style rhetoric of bashing on entire groups of Jews for their choice of foot-ware.

“The style of men shaving off their beards.”
And the Romans did too- that’s a double problem.

The OP would probably be ecstatic to learn that 132 high end Mercedes Benz cars were destroyed in an arson fire in Brooklyn, yesterday.

Weird broken English aside, do you honestly not see how the two situations are in no way comparable? Or, are you just backed up against a wall and intend to go down with the sinking ship that is your argument?

Are you sad that the atmosphere is lost? Would you prefer our relations with Germany to be bad again?

Doesn’t show anything, the entire thread is to whether or not that atmosphere made sense.

“Yehuda Avner tried as Ambassador to stand for the German national Anthem however his feet just couldn’t.”
when he was ambassador many perpetrators were still part of german society, now the remainder are either dead or in nursing homes, with very few still around.

Neville, i love sinking ships, but are you trying to deflect from the wuestion. The question still remains why joseph can tell people not to shave but i cant tell skver chassidim to stop wearing nazi style boots?

Someone once interviewed Israelis about their attitudes towards the present generation of Germans. One commented that blaming them for the Holocaust is like blaming him for killing Yushki.

    NYT sept 10:
Germany’s Nazi Past Is Still Present
It is often held up as a model liberal democracy that has fully reckoned with its horrendous crimes. It hasn’t.
