Often I get home from work after dark so I leave the porch light on so I can see the lock but in the summer when I come home I am attacked by moths and other flying insects, anything I can do to keep them away??
Try a yellow bulb.
How yellow? They sell a special bug light.
I had this problem last night. I had to run through the door otherwise they would all just welcome themselves in. My wife later freaked me out and told me one bug was crawling on my back. Wow I will never forget that moment as she jumped back, her face dropped and then screamed, I thought someone was about to kill me…
Some people swear by citronella. (And they sound really weird when they swear!)
