When Dov Lipman was called a rasha many on this forum took issue with it. Please note, this is a man who openly derided chazal, a man who according to chazal would probably be considered an apokoires( ????? ?? ???? ?? ????.. ) and yet here we are so quick to classify NK as reshaim based on our assumptions.
July 23, 2015 1:06 am at 1:06 am #1092546zahavasdadParticipantIt wasnt an assumption that NK have participated more than once at an event on Shabbos. There are pictures and videos of them doing so. They even freely admit so
July 23, 2015 1:20 am at 1:20 am #1092547JosephParticipantWhich of the melachos is violated by standing or walking in a march on Shabbos?
I find them attending any rally on Shabbos to be totally untoward and wrong.
But if you accuse it of being chillul Shabbos, you need to identify what exactly about walking is c”S. If it is only about carrying signs, then it would only be applicable to those who carried it and only if there is no town eiruv. If there’s another thing that’s a halachic violation of Shabbos, then identify what it is. I haven’t read any identified thus far.
My vote is completely with sushibagel on this discussion.

Goiyim hold the signs
While
They walk along
July 23, 2015 4:06 am at 4:06 am #1092550Sam2ParticipantJoseph: If you want to be photographed/videoed while you’re there, it’s probably Ksiva, maybe even D’oraisa. R’ Schachter actually holds that it’s Mechikah D’Oraisa.
July 23, 2015 4:25 am at 4:25 am #1092551JosephParticipantSam: Many shuls have videos recording 24 hours on Shabbos. In NY, including in many frum neighborhoods, there are 24/7 videocameras all over the streets. Many homes have CCTV. On previous discussions various sources were cited permitting walking in an area that is being video recorded.

July 23, 2015 4:35 am at 4:35 am #1092553JosephParticipantHe’s making an assumption that they want to be videoed. Do people with home CCTV or shul CCTV want to be videoed?
July 23, 2015 6:00 am at 6:00 am #1092554tirtzaParticipantMy gosh people! it’s 3 days until Tisha B’Av! can’t we, at least, during THIS TIME, stop judging who the “rasha” is? If you stretch your mind a little, you could find some leniency for each one.
The thread originator asked, “am I delaying the Moisiach?”
My answer is, “Yes, but we all are.”
I’ll leave that term for the real rashaim, the non-Jews, who oppress our people.
May we soon love one another and soon see Tisha B’Av turned into a great holiday. Amen.
July 23, 2015 11:34 am at 11:34 am #1092555sushibagelMemberThat’s besides the fact that it’s not a clear issur.
