To the driver of the double parked automobile in New York this morning. You caused a massive chillul hashem (assuming you are Jewish) and stole the time of many people. I get that its alternate today…..but a little common courtesy please… if you double park for alternate, COME BACK IMMEDIATELY AFTER ITS OVER AND MOVE YOUR CAR!!! It is the height of irresponsibility to leave your car there. The other side filled up with LEGALLY parked cars and a bus couldn’t get through because of you. This caused everyone to be delayed. 😠

Although I have to give them the benefit of the doubt, what irkes me even more is that you’re actually harming yourself if you leave your car double-parked illegally. The double parking is just a courtesy that the NYPD allows in certain neighborhoods. They can easily change their mind and they’d be in their full rights to do so.
So besides for being irresponsible, they’re also harming themselves.
do you know the reason he didnt move his car on time? maybe something came up not in his control and he couldnt come? mayve he simply forgot? why are we so fast in judging other yidden? are we perfect ourselfs?

Maybe he was a goy who was delivering a tallis and tefillin to a sick Jew in the hospital.
Part of the blame lies with those who park LEGALLY across from a double parked cat, this causes busses and trucks to get stuck causing a MASSIVE CHILLUL HASHEM!

What really irks me is when you have a pump or similar where someone can pull in if they are waiting for someone, but they choose to double park (read: center of the road) their car.
how about the gaboim of the shuls be in charge of double parking?

There is no bigger RISHUS & SELFISHNESS & BEING INCONSIDERED by double parking,
The doormen at some buildings on the upper west side make good $$ moving cars around on alternate side parking days for people who leave for work early or cannot come home mid-day. Most gaaboim don’t have the time to shuttle cars outside the shul edited
