Actually, there is a magical urge to light citronella candles just as mosquitoes are starting to leave an area that people are in. It gives the same impression as if the citronella makes them leave.
It helps but not for all types of mosquitos. And it’s not perfect either. So if it’s not working for you sue the mosquitos…
Are all citronella items equal say the candles and the torches you see? which has a higher concentration of citronella?
