Does anyone know the Ruthie Pearlman books in order?
I’ve seen her series in the library (Lockdown, Disappeared, Whispers, etc.) and would like to read them, but I’m not which order to read them in.August 12, 2018 8:28 pm at 8:28 pm #1572646flyerParticipantSchool of Secrets, Lockdown, Disappeared, An Ordinary Wednesday, Whispers, Foundling.
August 12, 2018 8:28 pm at 8:28 pm #1572645flyerParticipantSearch for her name. Ahe has a website and it gives the order of publication which is the order
August 14, 2018 1:53 am at 1:53 am #1573133☢️ Rand0m3x 🎲ParticipantYou can often determine the order of publication of a series by checking the copyright dates.
August 15, 2018 5:11 am at 5:11 am #1574390MRS PLONYParticipantJust a comment on flyer’s comment: ‘An Ordinary Wednesday’ is not part of the Yael Reed series, so it doesn’t have to be read before or after any particular book.
August 15, 2018 6:26 am at 6:26 am #1574443lyricParticipant🙂 Ruthie Pearlman here. Yes, the Yael Reed series of books is School of Secrets, Lockdown, Disappeared, Whispers, and Foundling. The next one, Target, is in pre-production. An Ordinary Wednesday is a standalone book, not part of the series.
Thank you so much for your interest in my books, even though borrowing from the library will not make me any money LOL. Don’t worry, I’m happy that people enjoy them. My website is ruthiepearlman.com and from there you can link to Amazon to read all of my out-of-print books in eBook format. Two of my books, Disappeared, and An Ordinary Wednesday, are also in audio book format and can be obtained from mostlymusic.
Thanks! Keep in touch!
August 15, 2018 10:16 pm at 10:16 pm #1574839ArielskiParticipantThank you all for bringing this writer to my attention. I just started “Dark Tapestry”, the first book in the Colin and Leora series. And, I paid for it Ruthie!
August 15, 2018 10:18 pm at 10:18 pm #1574838MRS PLONYParticipantOooh! Ruthie Pearlman! For real?! Oooh!
Y’know, if enough people borrow your books from a library then when your next book is published, that library will buy that book, too. That’s got to count for something.
August 16, 2018 7:47 am at 7:47 am #1574889lyricParticipantThanks for buying Dark Tapestry!! Can I ask where you found it? I thought it was out of print ages ago.
As to the library, of course the library buys a couple of copies of any book, then if hundreds borrow it..well, do the math 🙂 😛
August 16, 2018 7:47 am at 7:47 am #1574892lyricParticipantBut I’m not really complaining…except that in the UK, where I used to live before making aliya three years ago, a public library wasn’t allowed to purchase new books until the author had a chance to sell them for six months. That, I felt, was fair. In Jewish libraries however, books can be purchased brand new. It’s a minor gripe of mine as an author. That’s it! whinge over!
August 17, 2018 9:09 am at 9:09 am #1575926ArielskiParticipantRuthie, I bought Dark Tapestry from Amazon (kindle version) finished it earlier today, and just purchased The Movement.
August 17, 2018 10:32 am at 10:32 am #1575984lyricParticipant<3 Thank you! I’d really appreciate it if you could possibly put up a review?
August 17, 2018 1:34 pm at 1:34 pm #1576063🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantlyric – I will not argue, it is definitely hard on the author if everyone borrows instead of buys. And the 6 month wait does sound excellent. If it is any consolation, many of us who rely on the library just cannot afford books. Maybe one or two a year. So without the library we would be really missing out!
August 23, 2018 8:01 am at 8:01 am #1579054ParticipantParticipantHow do we know lyric’s who she says she is?
–MBDAugust 23, 2018 8:06 am at 8:06 am #1579106lyricParticipantI find this highly amusing. What proof would you like? I’m not THAT famous that I’d pretend to be me if I wasn’t me, if you get my meaning LOL. It’s not exactly JK Rowling coming on here and saying hi! It’s only Ruthie Pearlman.
August 23, 2018 8:16 am at 8:16 am #1579109🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI wouldn’t waste any energy on that comment. You see he signed it Mordechai Ben David 😊
I actually just finished “Foundling” just a few days before this thread went up (purchased copy this time 😉). It was excellent and perfectly not predictable! I was wondering tho, if your Yarl series is written for a young adult, or general audience?August 23, 2018 8:44 am at 8:44 am #1579114lyricParticipantYael Reed, not Yarl!
I always write for a general audience, not for YA’s. All ages can enjoy my books and I hope they do!
Thank you for buying Foundling!
August 23, 2018 9:33 am at 9:33 am #1579183🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantSo sorry! I have a hard time typing on my phone. I definitely meant Yael. And I am looking forward to reading whichever books of yours I haven’t already read 🙂
August 24, 2018 8:03 am at 8:03 am #1579596ParticipantParticipant@lyric, You can prove who you are if you provide information about Yael Reed that’s not mentioned in any of the books.
August 24, 2018 8:03 am at 8:03 am #1579595ParticipantParticipantWhy does the fact that I signed my name make it less credible?
August 24, 2018 9:14 am at 9:14 am #1579616lyricParticipantIt would make more sense if I provided information about Ruthie Pearlman, ie me, that no one who wasn’t me, would know. But then again, how would you know if it was true or not? It’s plain stupid.
August 24, 2018 9:14 am at 9:14 am #1579614lyricParticipantThat’s stupid. Yael Reed is a fictional character. How would providing information about her that wasn’t in any of my books prove my credibility? I could say anything and you wouldn’t have any way of knowing if that made me real or not. Anyway, I don’t feel I have to prove anything to you. If you don’t believe I am who I say I am, that’s fine with me.
August 24, 2018 9:17 am at 9:17 am #1579617lyricParticipantI’ve got a great idea how to prove I am who I say I am. Put an undisclosed but large sum of money into my paypal account at [email protected] and I’ll acknowledge the amount on here. Would that work for you? It must be larger than $100 though 😛
August 24, 2018 1:02 pm at 1:02 pm #1579710MenoParticipantI’ve got a great idea how to prove I am who I say I am. Put an undisclosed but large sum of money into my paypal account at [email protected] and I’ll acknowledge the amount on here. Would that work for you? It must be larger than $100 though
That wouldn’t prove anything. I am actually the real Ruthie Pearlman. Send $100 to my Paypal at [email protected] and I’ll tell you how much it is.
August 24, 2018 2:04 pm at 2:04 pm #1579728☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI’ve got a great idea how to prove I am who I say I am. Okay, how much was it?
(Please send it back to [email protected])
August 25, 2018 9:41 pm at 9:41 pm #1579793lyricParticipantI have received nothing. And anyway, as my husband pointed out, you needn’t put any money in my paypal account. All you need to do is to email my genuine email address (which you can confirm on my website http://www.ruthiepearlman.com) which is [email protected] and if I am me, I will reply to your email. Now stop this silliness please.
August 25, 2018 11:00 pm at 11:00 pm #1579794ImanonovParticipantI greatly enjoyed reading these postings. Nearly even more than reading the Mrs Pearlman’s books themselves (or to be honest, reading them in the Ami magazine).
August 25, 2018 11:06 pm at 11:06 pm #1579835☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI have received nothing.
Great, so that proves it’s really you!
August 25, 2018 11:50 pm at 11:50 pm #1579839ArielskiParticipantRuthie! Stop me! I I have read the three Colin and Leora books and the first Rivki in the past eight days and am well started on Rivki #2. Did I mention I have a sprained ankle and can hardly walk?
August 26, 2018 12:55 am at 12:55 am #1579855lyricParticipantThanks everyone. I’m glad I have proved I am me. I was beginning to doubt I was me myself! 😀
Arielski, sorry about your sprained ankle but hope reading my books has helped pass the time. Did you get my books as eBooks as the books you mention are largely out of print.
August 26, 2018 1:12 am at 1:12 am #1579867☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantBTW, Participant, lyric (RP) did respond to my email, but that doesn’t really prove she’s RP, because maybe I’m not really DaasYochid.
August 26, 2018 1:20 am at 1:20 am #1579882lyricParticipantRuthie Pearlman doesn’t really exist. She’s a fictional character created by Yael Reed.
August 26, 2018 1:27 am at 1:27 am #1579884☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantShould I send an email to [email protected]? Or money?
August 26, 2018 1:45 am at 1:45 am #1579886lyricParticipantYael is a poor struggling PI. Of course money!
August 26, 2018 9:46 am at 9:46 am #1579894ImanonovParticipantYael is presently in jail and her money will most likely be confiscated by the judge who put her there
August 26, 2018 9:56 am at 9:56 am #1579990slominerParticipantWhat crime did Yael commit that landed her in the slammer? How long’s her sentence?
August 26, 2018 10:19 am at 10:19 am #1580009☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantWhat crime did Yael commit that landed her in the slammer?
She committed fraud by trying to solicit money by posting her email address on Yeshiva World.
August 27, 2018 7:52 am at 7:52 am #1580347ParticipantParticipantFor someone who doesn’t care if I believe you or not, you’re spending a lot of effort trying to prove it.
August 27, 2018 7:52 am at 7:52 am #1580349ParticipantParticipantjust write a new book in which Yael Reed is a fictional charachter in jail.
August 27, 2018 7:52 am at 7:52 am #1580350ParticipantParticipantyou can also just dedicate your next book to the participant of the coffee room.
August 27, 2018 7:58 am at 7:58 am #1580399lyricParticipantMy current serial/book is about Yael Reed in jail. Keep up at the back.
Why did we violate the law by posting our email address?
Anyway. I’m bowing out of this thread. It’s getting unpleasant. I only joined it to say hi and be friendly to everyone after I saw the original post. I’m not enjoying it any more, so I’ll bid you all farewell, and thanks for reading my books!Ruthie Pearlman.

August 28, 2018 5:40 pm at 5:40 pm #1582222ArielskiParticipantYes Ruthie, I have purchased all the books for Amazon Kindle.
September 17, 2018 1:03 am at 1:03 am #1592206🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantKust finished dark tapestry, An Ordinary Wednesday and The Movement. Great books, really draw you in and no loose ends to ruin the conclusion. Dark Tapestry is my favorite so far.
