People go crazy because they arent careful with the money. if I win I wouldnt tell anyone except my immediate family members and possible some close friends. i’d put most of it in savings and only be able to use a certain amount each year. and i’d give a lot of anonymous tzedaka.
the lottery winner just went from a true living life to a dead life with no schedule, just sitting all day in front of a TV in a fancy house in Florida with 3 cars parked in front sitting all day
as a healthy person with a schedule YOU BORUCH HASHEM HAVE A LIFE spending time with you r family & at work etc….
Does anyone remember the famous story of the Chofetz Chaim when he found out his rebbetzin bought a lottery ticket, not having known he was opposed to purchase them, promised if he win he’d donate the entire winnings to tzedaka (or the yeshiva?)
