I have sold through it. (B2B)
Of course I listen. For the first three nanoseconds.
Why do they still do it if most people hang up the second the voice starts talking?
I typically listen for a bit and then ask them never to call again. And if they call again, I hang up on ’em.
If you are on the Do Not Call list, they are committing an infraction. Unless they are a tzedaka organization, they can be reported and fined.
I do not hang up on Tzedaka groups. I only do so when it is a telemarketer trying to sell me something.
