Sensitive as in tender-hearted, possessing a finely-tuned ear for the subtle beauty in this world, with a sensitive soul, and made up of layers of depth. The type who get touched by real music.
Any of you out there? (No wannabees!)
BTW I find that in shidduchim, when I say “someone deep” they either stare blankly, or have no idea what I’m talking about but think they do.
October 7, 2014 5:32 am at 5:32 am #613861eftachbchinorMemberI know such boys. Then again, I may have no idea what you’re talking about but think I do.
October 7, 2014 5:48 am at 5:48 am #1036730Little FroggieParticipantNope. Not at all.
Except for deep. That truly describes me, (actually my shape).
October 7, 2014 5:55 am at 5:55 am #1036731cozimjewishMembereb – did you start this for me? lol 😉
October 7, 2014 6:16 am at 6:16 am #1036732Little FroggieParticipantOh, btw in my humble opinion, I don’t think a tender-hearted, sensitive soul would start such a thread… just sayin..
October 7, 2014 7:49 am at 7:49 am #1036733secretagentyidMemberYup. I’m one, and I know otgers. We tend to mask it unser layers of machismo and gruffness
October 7, 2014 8:48 am at 8:48 am #1036734ChortkovParticipantThere are many boys out there like that, although very few will admit it. I know quite a few guys who fit your criteria. Although boys are generally less likely to go around shouting it out to the world, it would be more internal.
October 7, 2014 10:31 am at 10:31 am #1036735squeakParticipantJust marry a normal boy and then fix him until he’s sensitive.
October 7, 2014 11:48 am at 11:48 am #1036736jewishfeminist02MemberYes, they exist. I’m married to one.
October 7, 2014 12:02 pm at 12:02 pm #1036737cozimjewishMembereftach: guess we’re outvoted ;P
October 7, 2014 12:03 pm at 12:03 pm #1036738popa_bar_abbaParticipantYou mean like me?
October 7, 2014 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm #1036739jewishfeminist02MemberI think, actually, that sensitive boys have a harder time in shidduchim. Sensitive, respectful, modest, good listener etc. is what most girls claim to be looking for…but when faced with one of these guys in person, they ultimately aren’t interested in him, because he isn’t “glamorous” enough. I do know many girls who don’t have this problem, just saying I also know many girls who do, and I know how frustrating it can be for the guys.
October 7, 2014 12:14 pm at 12:14 pm #1036740cozimjewishMemberYes popa, exactly like you. In fact, I’m certain eftach had you in mind when she started this thread…..(take that whichever way you like ;P)
October 7, 2014 12:38 pm at 12:38 pm #1036741sirvoddmortMemberThere is no such thing as a sensitive boy. We all just shout at each other and punch things.
October 7, 2014 1:09 pm at 1:09 pm #1036742ivoryParticipantThere are deep sensitive boys out there. Don’t really know how appreciation for real music (whatever that means) makes a good husband…. But being kind , sensitive, and tuned in definitely does.
October 7, 2014 1:10 pm at 1:10 pm #1036743heavy briskerMemberhow do you define sensitive
October 7, 2014 1:57 pm at 1:57 pm #1036744doleofyouParticipant@ivory and @eftachbechinor seem to have two different definitions of sensitive. The OP (eftach) defined it as “Sensitive as in tender-hearted, possessing a finely-tuned ear for the subtle beauty in this world, with a sensitive soul, and made up of layers of depth. The type who get touched by real music.”. @ivory seems to be looking more for qualities that would make a good husband, including “sensitive” there, which would seem that she means more emotionally sensitive.
Eftach – Not really sure why anything you described is ‘sensitive’. I am with ivory on this one.
October 7, 2014 3:34 pm at 3:34 pm #1036745ivoryParticipantI know someone who is very sensitive in the way of enjoying good music… Beauty in nature… Etc. but very not tuned in to other people’s feelings and needs .
October 7, 2014 3:37 pm at 3:37 pm #1036746streekgeekParticipantYes, they exist. I’m married to one.
So am I 😀
October 7, 2014 4:01 pm at 4:01 pm #1036747ED IT ORParticipantYou married a Boy? isn’t that illegal?
October 7, 2014 4:05 pm at 4:05 pm #1036748heavy briskerMemberthe way every one is putting it,is that sensitive is a major maalo, to me all it sounds like sensitive just means more of an emotional being, which does have its maalos but does not necessarily mean good middos or caring. and their are plenty boys who are caring and/or have good middos.
October 7, 2014 4:05 pm at 4:05 pm #1036749Shopping613 ðŸŒParticipantDo sensitive tomboys count?

October 22, 2014 3:15 pm at 3:15 pm #1036756streekgeekParticipantLG – Yup, I’m an old married lady. Why in the world would you think otherwise??
October 23, 2014 1:54 am at 1:54 am #1036757Letakein GirlParticipantI dunno… I remember reading one of your posts in which you said you’re a teen, and I had this picture of you in my head of a sixteen year old BY student. And all of a sudden you’re married. 🙂 lol
October 23, 2014 8:00 pm at 8:00 pm #1036758streekgeekParticipantLG – I was a teen until recently. And anyways see HERE.
