Every year in addition to playing dreidel for money we kids would play poker at the chanukah party, i remember one chanukah when i was young and i was losing badly at dreidel my moms friend took me aside and played poker with me and let me win she really lifted my spirits but back to the original point is gambling part of chanukah?
(even if you aren’t interested in the discussion, you may get a chuckle out of my [ignored] requests on that thread for various corrections and edits.)
I play Modi’in roullette. It’s like Russian roullette except you have to eat many many many latkehs, and gamble your health, sanity, and ultimately your ego. But it’s fuuuuun!!!
Haha avadeh gambling is not part of chanuka…. But who cares it fun and when done with your family it keeps us teenagers off the street…but ya gotta be careful. If your playing foreal be prepared to lose alot of gelt.and yea parents dont encourage this. If the kids play it themselves, and you can’t steer them away from the game properly don’t freak. But it’s not a good habit
