Derech halimud in yeshivos too slow

One of the things that bother me most about the yeshivos today is their slow pace in learning . I know of a yeshiva here in new york that from elul zman till pesach covered only four blatt in the first perek of yevamos and dont thin bekius seder is any better i lnow a yeshiva that covered from elul till pesach in a two and a half hour bekius seder five blatt i calculated that it takes those bochurim over 65 hours a blatt. Im speaking about top yeshivos in town that have top bochurim who are serious about their learning. In my humble opinion nothing will come out of them after a whole year they barely now 20blatt of an entire masechta. And the problem is that they get used to learning this way amd even when they move on to kollel they continue at this ridiculous speed. The other day i was speaking to a rebbi of a top yeshiva in monsey and he told me that he feels empty in his learning because he wasted his bochur years instead of finishing masechtos on lomdus and more lomdus . The thibg is that after speaking to many people i see there are a lot of opinions on the matter . What is yours?
