well, i have my moods. i guess sometimes i think i’m being nice and i’m not. oh well. you’ll learn deal with it – they all do. i can assure you i’m the kindest of men. not that that says much.

Does it matter what color and style and size the hat is? Do you need a different one for different occassions?

moish01: actually my father once told me that (iforget the names) someone once asked a big rabbi (and a real big one not some random rabbi) this exact question and he said it is better to daven at home than without a hat

sorry for the late reply. If I had knows how insecure you were feeling I would have given encouragement sooner but I assumed that you knew that you were doing an amazing job. I really mean what I (and others) said before that your sensitivity and caring as well as your amazing enthusiasm for yidishkeit really come thru and that you should really get involved with — I hate the word but don’t know a better one — kids-at-risk. You have good answers for their good questions and also you really care, which is one major thing that teens need.

You mentioned somewhere, I don’t remember which thread that you are too afraid of the responsibilty and what would happen if you said the wrong word to someone. But the type of person who is afraid is exactly the one who is most suited for the job, not someone who takes it lightly.

But on the other hand you gotta chill too. You were getting too serious last week and you sounded like you weren’t sleeping at night and just falling apart. Just remember Lo alecha hamelacha ligmor… You aren’t doing moish or anyone else a favor by falling apart. I hope you’re feeling better this week and that I can hear some geshmake leytzunus from you soon, lol.

i dunno, what’s there to understand about you? i hear where you’re coming from (the same place i come from) and i really know a lot of what you’re saying. it’s just how you say it.

charlie, why do you think i actually read what he had to say? he’s not a know-it-all i’m-better-than-you guy. at least not here he isn’t. i don’t know him personally, but i can’t imagine he’s like that.

I wouldn’t blame you. No one likes being singled out and examined, and if you feel that strongly about this then ask the mods to switch it back. That said, I think you’d agree that being in the CR is both helping your frumkeit and helping you think what you want to do with your life.
