The anti semetic attacks over the past couple of years sound suspiciously similar to pre war germany. I’ve heard a bunch of people talking recently about wanting to move to another country (like eretz Yisroel or New Zealand where you’re safer from chemical weapons exposure)!!!!!!
March 9, 2019 11:06 pm at 11:06 pm #1691888Sam KleinParticipantTime to make aliyah
Don’t wait until it’s too late like they did in pre war Nazi days. Many Gedolim said to leave but most-sadly-did not listen and lost their precious life and their family R”L
go to Hashem in Eretz Yisroel. Hashem is waiting for you there
March 9, 2019 11:06 pm at 11:06 pm #16918891ParticipantEretz Yisroel is a good choice. You have to plan out parnassah and chinuch, before moving.
March 9, 2019 11:06 pm at 11:06 pm #1691892JosephParticipantWhere are you going to move to? Israel is less safe than America and Europe.
March 9, 2019 11:06 pm at 11:06 pm #1691893JosephParticipantThere’s more anti-Semitism and killing of Jews in Israel than any other country with a large Jewish population.
March 9, 2019 11:06 pm at 11:06 pm #1691896akupermaParticipantActually America sounds nothing like prewar Germany. There are no significant anti-democratic (small “d”) movements, and both political extremes are full of Jews (unlike Germany where there were multiple movements on both side of the political spectrum opposed to democracy, and Jews were clustered on the left and center). In addition America has the world’s strongest economy and this is unlikely to change. And America is the leading superpower. And while there is a (Jewish-led) movement against all forms of religion, we have many non-Jews who can be counted on to oppose them.
It might be worthwhile to consider moving to a goy-free planet, but that it isn’t likely for several centuries at the earliest.
March 10, 2019 1:26 am at 1:26 am #1691948Avi KParticipantAkuperma, what will the Jews on the all-Jewish planet do when something goes wrong on Shabbat? As for America, while there is almost no chance of institutionalized antisemitic actions there is a large chance that individual actions will snowball c”v.

Nefesh b’nefesh helps you setup a parnassa with also all government programs and finding a home etc…
Joseph
Hashem is closer to his loving children in Eretz Yisroel and gives them stronger protection then in USA or any other country in the world.I’m not a Zionist but I don’t want to see my loving brethren suffering C”V when it could’ve all been avoided if they had moved away from the USA before the anti-Semitism C”V gets out of control
I’m even afraid to ask. Who do you think is the Hitler Y”S ofvtodays generation. I.e. who has the biggest hatred to destroy Jews today C”V? Iran leader? Abbas? Or Hamas leader etc…..
March 10, 2019 8:06 am at 8:06 am #1691982ZionGateParticipant…Actually, Arafat is an example of our own doing.
His stock fell to the depths, fled to Tunisia, and Rabin/ Peres brought him back to life figuring he’d be the best peace partner. They went against Hashem’s will who basically buried him already ,and we paid a terrible price..March 10, 2019 8:06 am at 8:06 am #1691983☕️coffee addictParticipantSam,

Did the gedolim say to move to Eretz Yisrael? Please name them
March 10, 2019 12:40 pm at 12:40 pm #1692188writerParticipantCoffee addict- what land is left after America? I think it’s the last stop before Israel. If c”v there was major anti semitism in USA, I’m not sure other countries would be any more welcoming. Back then there were select countries left to flee to including America.

NOW NOW NOWMarch 10, 2019 12:55 pm at 12:55 pm #1692158Sam KleinParticipantCoffee addict
The Gedolim from the days of pre-war Germany did not say to move to Eretz Yisroel, they said to leave Nazi Germany and other territories of Europe. But I cant recall which Gedolim said it.
In regards to today’s anti-Semitism worldwide. Your best bet is to make aliya to Eretz Yisroel and before it’s too late. Don’t say you weren’t warned to get yourself removed from this dangerous time and location of anti-Semitism building up and getting worse R”L
Nothing just happens by coincidence. Time to open up our eyes and see the message from Hashem to move to Eretz Yisroel
March 10, 2019 1:34 pm at 1:34 pm #1692222FreddyfishParticipantMaybe hashem wants us to remain in America to be marbitz torah here?!?!
March 10, 2019 2:35 pm at 2:35 pm #1692261Avi KParticipantCA, just out of curiosity, what do your gedolim say about Internet usage?
March 10, 2019 8:04 pm at 8:04 pm #1692382FreddyfishParticipantBriskboyz. I don’t think there’s any more shmutz in America then in ey!!!
March 10, 2019 10:21 pm at 10:21 pm #1692423☕️coffee addictParticipantWow,
One question to Sam because he said
“Don’t wait until it’s too late like they did in pre war Nazi days. Many Gedolim said to leave but most-sadly-did not listen and lost their precious life and their family R”L”
Equating now with pre war Germany and that back then they didn’t listen to the gedolim to now not moving even though no gedolim said to
And I get commented on/attacked by writer (not sure what he’s commenting on it doesn’t look like an attack) Sam Klein where he still didn’t address my question of which gedolim said to move nowadays, and avi that tries to bash me because I’m using internet (so I’m not listening to gedolim anyways?, so therefore I shouldn’t care which gedolim said so and I should move because a poster said so?)
Am I missing something here?

March 12, 2019 10:09 am at 10:09 am #1693488GadolhadorahParticipantThere is no more consensus among the Gadolim than there is among security analysts, sociologists and geopolitical “experts” regarding the implications of growing anti-semitism. I heard an interesting theory recently that even if there is no real increase, the internet age, instant messaging, pervasive news coverage etc. allows even small incidents and events to be magnified way beyond what would have been the case 50 years ago. Having said that, moving to EY will sadly not resolve your stress level if you are seeking a totally secure environment free from the political circus we are living with here in the golden medinah.

The Torah says to live in E”Y. Gedolim aren’t always correct.
March 12, 2019 12:15 pm at 12:15 pm #1693593FreddyfishParticipantTakah mamash- gedolim ARE always correct if they are following Halacha!!!!!
March 12, 2019 12:17 pm at 12:17 pm #1693599JosephParticipantSilly Gedolim. How did they miss such a basic Torah?
March 12, 2019 12:18 pm at 12:18 pm #1693610akupermaParticipantIt was very clear in the 1930s that Europe (at least Eastern and Central Europe) were good places for Jews to leave, but the United States, British Empire and French Empire were largely closed to Jewish immigrants, as were most other countries. Some individuals with special connections (relatives, money, job skills) could sometimes get permission to immigrate, but for most Yidden that was not an option. No one was telling people not to flee. Many gedolim who could have fled said clearly that they wer obligated to remain with the communities they led.
