    I got my last two grades today. I’ve got a few week break.

    I was going to take history of ashkenazi minhagim with someone who used to learn b’chavrusa with Rav Gedalia Shorr. Unfortunately he’s on sabbatical and I don’t know who is taking over the class. Hope it’s someone who knows the subject and treats it well.

    I love college, I really do. But writing five 10-page papers at once is a real killer… x_x

    estrapade- It’s not about the classes I take- I really do enjoy most of my classes (although sometimes, you need to take classes you don’t enjoy to go on to do something you are passionate about i.e. orgo to get into med school..) but mostly it’s because I personallyhave a hard time in secular college.

    Aha. I always found ways to take classes that I enjoyed. For example, I took chemistry and physics so I can avoid taking biology. I’m sorry to hear about your difficulties due to your college being secular. May I ask what are your challenges there?

    The usual i guess- I dislike sitting in class with professors talking about Jews and Judaism in a way that I find offensive; I have a hard time balancing the correct way to act in a coed environment; I cringe at the use of vulgar language by people who think no more of it than they do breathing. It’s not pleasant but it’ s where I am and I just gotta deal with it

    I only take classes that I like. Why on earth would I be shelling out all this money otherwise? (Don’t say to make more money.)

    bortzezomib – Whenever a professor of mine makes a comment that is factually inaccurate about Jews or Judaism I correct him/her.

    OneOfMany – Umm, to get a proper education, thus making you a better human being.

    Btguy, thank you for asking. my workload turned out heavier than expected and i don’t have as much time as before. that combined with a mishap on my part that left me uncomfortable to post here as often means i won’t be here as often as before.

    to everyone else, hatzlocha with all your studies. i think we all need it.

    I really meant: why would you decide to major/pursue a career in something you don’t like?
