October 1, 2013 2:39 am at 2:39 am #984611akupermaParticipantDistance education from a government sponsored university (e.g. Empire State College, University of Maryland University College, Western Governors, etc.). If you want something medical, you’ll need a bricks and mortar school.
October 1, 2013 2:50 am at 2:50 am #984612ihearMemberhonestly as cliche as it seems, touro but if ur looking for something quicker then try the 1 year program from fDU

October 1, 2013 4:01 am at 4:01 am #984614Shlomo RadomskaParticipantStop the short cut nonsense! They are roads to nowhere. There is no substitute for real credentials from real colleges. Look into college majors that have a marketable future that include STEM, financial areas, information technology (IT) cyber security, IT data management, actuarial science, economics. The competition for jobs is very keen and the short cut holders are squeezed out of the mix.
October 1, 2013 4:25 am at 4:25 am #984615jewishfeminist02MemberTry Brandeis. It has the largest percentage of Jewish students aside from Jewishly affiliated colleges, including a nice-sized frum population, and it is highly prestigious in the secular world.
October 1, 2013 4:31 am at 4:31 am #984616wanttohelpandaskMemberYU, Brooklyn, Queens all have major jewish populations and what does btl mean?
October 1, 2013 4:44 am at 4:44 am #984617Shlomo RadomskaParticipantbtl = Bachelor of Talmudic Law. It is the standard yeshiva degree short of Smecha or Rabbinic Ordination. It has limited value unless one can gain admission to a real graduate program from a real college.
October 1, 2013 5:12 am at 5:12 am #984618jwashingMemberhows baruch
October 1, 2013 1:19 pm at 1:19 pm #984619Mayan_DvashParticipantBaruch is respected as a business college, as opposed to a science school.
October 1, 2013 2:10 pm at 2:10 pm #984620heretohelpMemberIf you do well, a degree from most of the CUNY schools is well respected and relatively affordable (depending on where you live).
If you’re going to college strictly for training in a profession, start with the profession, figure out what you need to study, research which schools have strong programs in that area, and then research if their graduates actually get jobs and interviews in that field.
