Shaatra, I brush my teeth after drinking coffee, or at least rinse or eat an apple, when I can’t brush.

I still have my stash left over from Shalach Manos.
Arent men allowed to enjoy liquor in their coffee?
My “Guy Manual” got lost in the mail.
I guess I should’ve shelled out the extra $$
& used fedex instead of snail mail!
July 12, 2009 11:42 pm at 11:42 pm #683010d aMemberGuys, I love the smell of coffee, especially hazelnut, french vanilla… however, I DON’T like coffee. I don’t like ‘burnt’ stuff!!
Its interesting that I don’t drink coffee, but when I make someone a cup, they say that it tastes excellent. I have no idea how it should taste and I never put in the exact amount of coffee. I put in a bit of coffee (enough to fill half of the bottom of the cup) fill it with hot water, 1 or 2 sugars (packets) (depending on what they like [sometimes 3, 4 or 5!!!] and add some milk. Did I do anything different then others? I doubt it! Enjoy your burnt drink!!!
Oh BTW, I was in 7-11 the other day when a guy came in, took a cup, filled it with ice cubes, put in a little iced coffee and filled the rest with milk. Exactly what was he paying for? Tge tiny amount of coffee? The milk? I don’t get it!

July 14, 2009 2:30 am at 2:30 am #683012just meParticipantCoffee keeps some people awake. It doesn’t bother me but one year in the bungallow colony, my friend came to my porch as I was sitting enjoying cup #…I don’t even remember. I invited her to join me which she did. The next morning she came over to me looking very red eyed. She said “That WASN’T decaf, was it?” 🙂 I had no probs sleeping, but she was up half the night.
Coffee does have some good side affects according to some people.
July 14, 2009 3:38 pm at 3:38 pm #683013jewishfeminist02MemberJoseph, I know, but I only drink about 4-5 cups a week. Anyway, if I’m going to have an addiction, better coffee than soda or cigarettes.
July 14, 2009 5:12 pm at 5:12 pm #683014JosephParticipantWhy any addiction?
July 15, 2009 3:16 am at 3:16 am #683015kapustaParticipantJoseph, I had the same question, but in any case, as someone who (gulp) does not drink coffee more than about once a year or so, they’re coming out with studies now about the benefits of coffee. At the same time I dont really love the caffeine factor, but its not the worst thing in the world.
July 15, 2009 9:57 am at 9:57 am #683017NobodyMemberKapusta there are always reports being published about the benefits of wine, red meat or whatever and at the same time the harmful affects of everything from water to fruit to flour!
My opinion – everything in moderation is fine. The big question remains – what is moderation??!!

July 15, 2009 2:15 pm at 2:15 pm #683021jewishfeminist02MemberI skipped my coffee this morning and I feel fine. Maybe I’m not (yet) addicted to the caffeine, but I do like the taste.
July 15, 2009 3:15 pm at 3:15 pm #683022squeakParticipantAre you trying to make it look like I violated Rules of the YW Coffee Room, Section 4, paragraph 3? Is this a conspiracy against me, or was I just knighted? If the latter, when do I get my blackberry?
very impressive that you got the Section and paragraph correct… but can you prove that you did not submit the post with the violation? If you check the users handbook – available for sale in the CR Gift Shop – you will see that leveling accusations against Moderators of tampering with posts without bringing proof is punishable by having random unread posts being deleted. July 16, 2009 3:47 pm at 3:47 pm #683024squeakParticipantHow do you know that I didn’t submit the post with the violation the second time and sign it 72 this time?
I’ll take the punishment. It’s better than the alternative – which is getting committed for talking to myself…. again.

April 15, 2010 8:27 am at 8:27 am #683028d aMemberI DID IT!!! I actually did it!
After staying up the entire night, Achron Shel Pesach (washing dishes, silverware, glasses, reading, setting the table…) I went to Shul and…
DRANK A CUP OF COFFEE!!!
(Side note: it was mostly water milk and sugar but it had some coffee!)
It was okay. Didn’t help me stay up better. But it wasn’t horrible. I don’t know why I did it but…
