New resteraunt that opened up in my area sells cholent only on thursday nights haha
alrighty you two: lots of potatoes, beans, barley, flankin, kalichul meat, some chicken, potato kugel, soy sauce, 2 whole tomatoes, little chicken soup mix, paprika, fresh garlic, garlic powder, orion powder, some carrots, celery, cayon, curry, salt, chilly powder, turkey necks…that’s pretty much it, i just empty the spice cabinet! 😉
Woooohoooooo!!!!!! Jax!!! That sounds like some chulent ya got there!! I’ll have to try it, but I think I’ll take the spice additions one at a time and see how it works.

Wow Jax! Sounds OK, except what the heck is kalichul meat? and TWO tomatoes? maybe one I’d manage. Carrots? Celery? Is that leftovers from your chicken soup?
I think I’m gonna consider taking back my offer to come to you for a shab meal. Or else I’ll just come Friday night!
i have chhlent 4 times a week. 1)thursday night 2)friday night 3) shabbos day 4) sunday night!!!
mepal: kalichul meat is really soft juicy meat! they sell it in most butcher stores! tastes so yummy & it’s very lean meat! the tomatoes are just there for flavor, they stay whole on top & they don’t get eaten! the carrots & celery are chopped very finely & you don’t even notice them! it’s really really yummy my chulent! but, if yiu want you can just come friday night! just don’t ask ames or mazal what turkey gizzerds are! 😉
Kalichul is shank meat.
