PAA: Share which us which thread.
I have had posts moderated also. We don’t always know what is potentially a problematic issue in our innocent posting. That’s why we have moderators.
Depends on the trigger finger – I have had a couple posts deleted as well . . .
Hmm.. By me – some of my posts get through… the rest are waiting patiently in the recycle bin.
Is there a method to the madness? I’ve had about five posts and one thread that were not posted, and I have no idea what was wrong with any of them.
You have had only one post deleted in the past few months (today). It was deleted for saying something that could be taken the wrong way. No other posts have been deleted.
Make sure that the posts were uploaded before assuming they were deleted. 🙂
Well, yes, I meant altogether in my CR career.
I think the last one was around Chanukah time.
I thought today’s post was written carefully enough that it could not be taken the wrong way.
Would you allow a cleaned up version of that sentiment?

I got modded in the deja vu thread. Was it because I quoted a non-Jewish book?
I wrote two posts in the Harry Potter thread, but it definitely wasn’t ‘modded’ because I quoted a non Jewish book. They are still hanging yellow, although I posted them on Thursday. Why?
Guess it’s just hard for me to think “Harry Potter” at this time of year
Is quoting non-Jewish books cause for censure?
SDD – It apparently depends. If the book is one which is widely accepted, we can refer and discuss with impunity. See Harry Potter thread. I have posted from other books in the past and been blocked. Interestingly, posts about some books have been allowed in the past and more recently been blocked.
thanks for clarifying, yekke2. It could have been because I did multiple submissions of the same post, because I kept getting slow down, you move to fast so I kept reposting it, unsure if it meant that it didn’t go throuigh.

The “Favorite lines from any song thread” was closed so that
mods wouldn’t have to reject any more posts from me in it
(that’s my egomaniacal interpretation of that event, anyway).I can appreciate the position of the moderators who have to sift through dozens and dozens of posts each day and the burden of pointing out to every rejected poster the line their submission crossed. They are certainly justified not wishing to invite on top of that load potentially heated and fruitless debates over the rules , their enforcement, interpretation or other technicalities.
But, writing as a well-intentioned, but not necessarily savvy writer, I think I could benefit from the constructive feedback. At the very least, I could distinguish between rejected posts and those that never even got through due to some browser hiccup on my end.
