Which one do you think is better (and don’t tell me IE, cause I don’t like it!)
Thanks!

Who will win?
July 10, 2012 12:55 am at 12:55 am #1032610Sam2ParticipantChrome. Not even close. The only issue is that flash player crashes a lot if you watch too much video, but you just refresh it and it gets right back up.

July 10, 2012 2:00 am at 2:00 am #1032612SayIDidIt™Participantgabs911, AdBlock is available on Chrome as well. One more thing, you’ve been a member for FIVE YEARS??? And you posted your FIRST post now??? Well, welcome to the CR!!!
Brony, that was the main reason I started this thread. I saw an interesting extension for FF and was wondering if I should stay with Chrome (which has some add-ons but not as much as FF [as far as I understand]) or switch over to FF. But it seems like most people here (who commented, that is) feel Chrome is better.
What do you say??
And, Brony, stick around more! We need more posters!!

just had to say that
But Chrome is definitely faster – however firefox has less bugs… you choose 🙂
Also most websites these days are firefox compatible and not all have accepted chrome.

July 10, 2012 2:36 am at 2:36 am #1032615BronyParticipantAyyo, I roll with FF
PRECISELY because of the extensions
also, I would like to keep posting
but it takes two hours for posts to get through
kind of ruins the experience

July 10, 2012 4:30 am at 4:30 am #1032617🍫Syag LchochmaParticipantI used to use mozzarella but it would do the “not responding” thing way too often. I switched to Chrome and now I’m sold. I’m too illiterate to know anything about add-ons, but I do know that Chrome always offers me my most used pages when I open a page.

why don’t they just have
report buttons like
every other forum?
If this is typical, I may switch
to imamother.com
which would be sad
because I don’t even know
how to pronounce that
July 10, 2012 5:24 am at 5:24 am #1032620NechomahParticipantI love Firefox for the reasons that gabs and shira mentioned. I have NO ads at all and love it. I just upgraded yesterday to Firefox 13 and found out that it has the same thing that Syag mentioned is available in Chrome with most used pages available to click on the screen when I open a new tab.
July 10, 2012 6:05 am at 6:05 am #1032621SayIDidIt™ParticipantSyag, you don’t need to be smart to get add-ons. You gotto get AdBlock! It mamish blocks all ads! (And if some ads get past it, with a few simple clicks it will be gone! No brains needed!)
And its FREE!!
Check it out: http://tinyurl.com/3aznsol
You may also want to try FastestChrome. It has a bunch of nice feactures but the best one for me is Auto-Loading the next page. No more (almost!) clicking Next or Page 2, 3, 4 (even on the CR!)
And this is also FREE!

By the way, both of these add-ons were first made for FireFox and are still available there. If you don’t have them, get them! They are very good.
If you need help, just yell!
If anyone knows other “great” add-ons, please let us know!

So if you need more posters, don’t call them all Joseph and they will all stay.
July 10, 2012 7:38 am at 7:38 am #1032623SayIDidIt™Participantmore_2: I don’t think I ever called any poster Joseph. I’m sorry if I did and I’m sorry if I hurt somebody.

Except for some work-related sites that don’t work except in FF/IE (for those I use FF) and some that don’t work except in IE (for those I use IE), so for work I always have all 3 running simultaneously.

July 10, 2012 1:38 pm at 1:38 pm #1032627ItcheSrulikMemberFirefox has many more extensions available than chrome. Adblock is just the beginning.
July 10, 2012 3:08 pm at 3:08 pm #1032628working harderMemberIts assur to use Firefox instead of Chrome. Its to much bitul Torah waiting 45 minutes for Firefox to start. Beside chrome extensions make life so much easier.

July 10, 2012 3:51 pm at 3:51 pm #1032630SayIDidIt™ParticipantAs I mentioned earlier, I’ve been using GC (Google Chrome) but then saw a nice looking add-on for FF (fireFox) and was wondering if I should stick with GC or go to FF (which I used to use a long time ago) and get some great add-ons.
So far, from the responses, I’m going to stick with GC for now.
Still waiting for good add-on suggestions. Thanks!

Moski – info like that seems to be dangerous for me, I thought I would make everything blue but accidently changed the letters to transparent with a black background. I think I’ll stick to low tech art instead.
July 13, 2012 3:31 am at 3:31 am #1032636yentingyentaParticipantSidi, i tried the fastestchrome but it messed up the ads on chrome and was slowing things down. not worth it to me

September 18, 2014 10:21 pm at 10:21 pm #1032644SayIDidIt™ParticipantOK, what do you use on your smartphone:
A. Stock Browser
B. Firefox
C. Chrome
D. Oprea
E. K9
F. Safari
G. Other, specify

I was using B. Firefox until I started getting an Error 500 message. Tried Chrome, Stock and K9 and still got the error. Only Opera worked! Now I am past my “fast speed” Internet limit and only Oprea loads. I turned off “Load Images” and it goes faster! If you have slow Internet, Oprea is for you!
September 18, 2014 10:23 pm at 10:23 pm #1032645SayIDidIt™ParticipantI was also getting the error on the Google Play Store. Still don’t know what the problem was/is….
