    This game might be slow, but it’s better than hangman. I was once in an email game that dragged out for close to a year.

    I need to get home and set up a board (if I can find it – its packed away somewhere in a box I didnt unpack). But I have sheva brachot tonight, so I probably won’t get to it until tomorrow.

    no no – I thought this was a strictly blindfolded game! At least, I was playing blindfolded until now.

    Wow you guys really hijacked this thread! But that’s OK because having a chessboard here makes it a bit easier to play. So I’ll accept the kibitzing that comes with it 🙂

    teen – when moving a pawn, it is not necessary to mention that fact. So E4 means I am opening with the king’s pawn going two spaces.

    areivim – it’s because you are so quiet. Nothing to do with my sn, which has to do with a .org And I’ll try to not be insulted that you are so horrified to me confused with Yours Truly 😉

    Ames – I used to be very into chess and I was capable of playing a blindfolded game then. Now I don’t think I would be able to, unless I trained for it again. Anyway, no one here is going to be able to test me.

    Areivim, you were totally right that I was just trying to get you to say that. Good call, mousey one. I’m sure you can figure out the .org part too.

    Curious, you can retake the Chief position if you draw a board that distinguishes the white and dark squares.

    Im sure this will takes weeks.

    Winner gets the pride of beating an anonymous CR poster. If I win, I get to boast that I beat someone rated 1100 points higher than me! If he wins, then we try with me drunk 🙂

    SJS – I’m thought you meant that you were rated 900, but now are better, just like I was over 2000, but now am much worse. And if you think you will last weeks, then you must be better than 900!

    Teen – the convention is that if no piece is named, the piece is a Pawn. If I meant the knight I would have had to say NC3.

    My move was C3, which is the pawn.

    As for the prize, we can compete for whatever Mod99 plans to give me. Except for the 10% that belongs to Chuck.

    And now I can see that Mod99 replied to my email. So there may actually be a prize to compete for (haven’t been able to open the email yet).

    Well, someone did. I can’t see who the sender is from here, only that I have a reply. If you say it wasn’t you, then I’m sure you’re right. It could be a bounceback.
