Are you also feeling angst about Purim? Or should we begin debating churmrahs and kulahs about doing a preset Zoom seder with the machatonim?
Seriously though, given the timeline for vaccinations, I wouldn’t plan on changing anything we have been doing until sometime next summer. While I’m comfortable with taking a vaccine, the timeline of getting enough people either vaccinated or already having been infected and having antibodies may be a few months longer than many are assuming.Chanukah parties? Remember the words of Rabbi Ben Stern: “I told you not to be stupid, you moron.”
I plan on getting vaccinated on Tu B’shvat so perhaps we establish a new minhag of Chanukah Sheini for those unable to entirely miss their annual quota of sufganiyot
