Why go fly around the world for some “shuna rishona” outings?

Anyone who has any idea of some interesting places in the mountains for couples to go, please post them.

    Thanks!

We went banana boating on White Lake yesterday. Loads of fun, but you need to be ok with getting wet. (soaked actually).

Its $80 for 30 minutes, and up to 6 people fit on the raft. You will also need a person to ride in the speedboat to see if anyone fell off (and that ususaly means all riders). If you can’t find a speedboat rider, you can hire one on the dock for anouther $12.

Another good trip is kayaking down the Delaware (very tame), or tubing down the Esophus (very wild).

You can also check the NYNJ trails conference for hikes of every type and lenght. Ice Cave mtns just outside Ellenville has a small loop that can be done by almost anyone in less than 2 hours r/t, and a longer Waterfall loop which takes about 4 hours r/t.

There’s also the 6 hour ride back to the city, which is great for 1st year bonding!

    Shimmel –

We were there around 1:30. Were you in the speedboat? Or did you show up (in the SUV with MD plates) just as we were leaving? There was also a family of about 10, but I highly doubt you were in that group.

In the winter, go to Mountain Trails Cross Country ski area in Tannersville, rent skis, and sign up for a lesson. There is no more fun outdoor activity.

By 3:30 I was back home. The family of 10 was most definitly NOT chassidish (that’s why I ruled you out).

Hmm. You think someone else is me, LAer talks / writes like me.. who am I really?

Oh, I was not clear. By saying “ruling you out” of the family of 10, it was because that group was most definitly not CR material (by ANYONES standards)possibly not even jews.

This reminds me of a comic routine done by Jackie Mason, where he goes to a therapist because he is feeling out of sorts.

Therapist: “of course you’re feeing out of sorts. You are not in touch with the real you. Together, you and I, will discover the real you!”

Jackie: “How much will this cost”?

    Therapist: $75 per hour”

Jackie” When you find the real me, bill him!

Personaly, I find my real self just by bannana boating 🙂

🙂 bad news! does that mean you have to move into the water on ur banana boat?

Banana boating is tons of fun minus the imaginary fish that i felt once i fell into the water! n seaweed that my hands got stuck in…
