PA or nurse practitioner? When my daughter comes home from seminary, which one should she choose? Please help with any pertinent information. How long is the schooling, which is the best school, how much is the starting salary, any pros or cons, credits from high school/ seminary, when to apply,………
Nurse Practitioner is the way to go- both are a lot of years of schooling, but the advantage of an NP is its flexibility, great money, and the NP does not have to work under a doctor. PA requires many prerequisites before the actual schooling (can be finished in a year or 2); NP requires first a nursing degree. Both degrees can be completed through accelerated programs.
