I’m getting the the feeling that president Trump is becoming more unhinged by the day. Lashing out at whomever he feels is a threat to him. Is there a way for him to earn the respect of the electorate & save his presidency?

He’s not any more unhinged than he was the day he announced he was running.

Who says it is in danger? He is simply being a NY “in your face” personality. The real question is whether the Democratic Party can be saved from drifting off into the leftist never-never land. If not, what will happen if they get back in power and the fiscal chickens come home to roost? Once they asked what they can do for their country. Now they ask what their country can do for them but they cannot repeal the laws of economics.

No. He’s painted himself into a corner from which he cannot escape. The best thing he can do for both himself and the country is to step aside in favor of Vice President Pence. This will satisfy the sensibilities and values of the hardcore Republican base while simultaneously allowing President Trump to save face and humiliation.

    Is Trump eating kasha bourekas?
    Is Melania leaving him?
Are Pelosi, Nadler, Schumer, Cummings, media talk hosts deranged? YES…
How much CNN,NBC,CBS even FOX, you watching?
Imagine yourself as prez of the most powerful nation and being attacked 24/7 , being investigated for 2 years, being besmirched & humiliated by other vile media, politicians, and being threatened by Dem chairs of investigations and subpoenas without evidence, UNHINGED TRD haters cursing him every second, what would be your mental state?
That’s exactly what they want us to believe, to demoral us, to have people like you post this type of question. He’s not unhinged but frustrated… He’s accomplished so much in 2 years … The Dems refuse to work with him, disrespect him and his lovely family & bemoan his election.
He’s an outsider upsetting the putrid swamp and they want to kill him….6 more years..MAGA

The people who elected him know who he is. Best president since Reagan.

His presidency needs no more saving than Bill Clinton’s presidency did. Notwithstanding all the absurd liberal media hype about its precariousness.

Yeah, I’m fine with people not liking Trump, but I’m really not understanding those of you who are talking like he’s “suddenly become unhinged.” He hasn’t changed a bit since he’s been in the public sphere.

If by “save his presidency” you mean make good on his promises like building the wall, overturning Obamacare, overturning the Iran deal, etc. then maybe not. It’s suspicious how he waited until the democrats had control of Congress to start caring about these things. He really doesn’t need to do a good job to win reelection, however, as long as the democratic party implodes again and rigs a primary for someone whom everyone hates (eg. Elizabeth Warren).

“Is there a way for him to earn the respect of the electorate ”

which part of the electorate? The vast majority knew he was unhinged. There are very very few people who think comments like “They say a wall is medieval, well so is a wheel. A wheel is older than a wall…The wheel is older than the wall, you know that? There are some things that work. You know what? A wheel works and a wall works” or ” “He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured.” are normal comments

Some voted against him because of that.
Some voted for him because of that.
some voted for him in spite of that either because they felt he was better than the alternative overall, or for some narrow specific reason like getting conservative judges
Some voted for him because they hoped he would change (why they thought a man in his 70’s who had been known to be unhinged for years is beyond me)

    “& save his presidency?”

    Hard to know
Group one above will vote against him again, group 2 will vote for him . group 3 will ( probably) vote for him.
Group 4 is hard to understand. On the one hand you’d think they might finally realize that he wont change, on the other hand if anybody ever expected anything different from this President . They are illogical enough to still hope that may be NOW he will change.

Every time you hear the media and other politicians (including Rs) say he has become really “unhinged”, he proves them wrong but saying or doing something even more outrageous. There is no bright line test under the 25th Amendment for “incapacity” in relation to removal of a President from office and the procedures make it unlikely to ever happen, given the alternative (aka Pence). The reality is he will be in office until 2020 when the electorate has a chance to decide if they want another 4 years of this circus.

Trump is no more unhinged than his critics. He has managed to capture two issues (protectionism and immigration) that had been parts of the Democrats platforms and made them his own, much to the consternation of the Republicans which favored liberal immigration and free trade (both being highly pro-business, albeit anti-labor, policies). Assuming the Democrats continue to move radically to the left, there will be an opportunity for a centrist moderate (someone pro-business, for consistent internationalist muscular foreign policies, etc.) to run as a fusion as moderates of both parties, together, outnumber the Trump or Socialist bases that appear to now control their respective parties.

Stop blaming the awful media for president Trumps’s problems. If he would act more refined & dignified the media would not have such an easy time criticizing him. I believe his low poll numbers are directly connected to his constant lashing out at people. Even people who faithfully worked under his administration. The media is terrible but so is mr. Trumps habit of acting like a bully to whomever he feels threatened by. If we show respect to others, we will also be respected. Don’t ignore his personal flaws because you hate the democrats & the media.
