November 3, 2008 11:16 pm at 11:16 pm #623879JosephParticipantits inappropriate to say bd’e on a goy.
November 3, 2008 11:24 pm at 11:24 pm #623880JosephParticipantas “dear” as for as many votes it gets him!
he already threw his grandma under the bus during the DNC!
then she was a racist, when it was worth votes portraying her so.
now he needs her for the sympathy vote.
November 3, 2008 11:26 pm at 11:26 pm #623881illini07MemberMay that be the only loss he suffers for a long time.

Amen. You’re probably voting for him, then.
Truehonesty:
Be nice.
Joseph:
“Baruch Dayan Emes” means simply “Blessed is the True Judge.” Isn’t that true here?
P.S. Let’s all make a good impression on him, for when/in case he wins. Post condolences, please.

It took me a long while to make up my mind. But Palin, combined with the nastiness of McCain’s campaign really turned me off on him.
Also, I kind of want to see the people around here freak out and squirm for no reason…
November 4, 2008 2:04 am at 2:04 am #623884JosephParticipant…It took illini07 “a long time” deciding between Nader and Obama.
November 4, 2008 2:14 am at 2:14 am #623885illini07MemberThanks for reminding me: I also had to figure out who Joseph was supporting. I could never in good conscience vote for anyone he holds in high esteem.
November 4, 2008 2:36 am at 2:36 am #623886The Town CrierMemberits scary to consider what might happen if he does win. why should he want to do anything nice for a group of people that seem to be so spiteful toward him?
November 4, 2008 2:39 am at 2:39 am #623887anon for thisParticipantillini07, are you an student/alum of U of I? I am sorry if this is too personal; I was just curious because of your username.

Seriously? Cut the garbage, use your brain. At least I’m educated enough to know what I’m talking about.
Anon for this:
Yes, proudly.
November 4, 2008 6:31 am at 6:31 am #623890anon for thisParticipantillini07, I got my degrees at UIC. It’s actually a very good school despite being the poor stepsister.
Alas, my political career is over before it started, due to my myriad connections to former Weatherman William Ayers: not only did I spend several years at the university where he works, but I also spent worked one summer at the utility that his father had led less than two decades previously. Plus I once spoke to the well-known radical, liberal mayor of Chicago, Richard J. Daley.
November 4, 2008 3:18 pm at 3:18 pm #623891anon for thisParticipantSorry, in my last post, I of course meant Richard M. Daley, the current mayor. Not even the most disingenuous talk show host would refer to the late Richard J. as a “radical liberal”; 1968 wasn’t that long ago, and Abe Ribicoff died only 10 years ago.

It is, and it’s getting even better (so long as the state doesn’t slash funding…again).
I’m truly sorry to hear about your lost political aspirations – you are a terrorist AND a mobster!

November 4, 2008 11:14 pm at 11:14 pm #623895Give Me a BreakMemberDear Senator Obama:
My sincere condolences upon the tragic loss of your beloved maternal grandmother, Madelyn P. Dunham. How hard it must be for you to lose here so close to the US Presidential Elections! At a time when you should be tentatively joyous and hopeful, you are cruelly forced to mourn on a prominent figure in your life. May she and your parents, Barack H. Obama and S. Ann Dunham, rejoice tomorrow upon your victory.
My heartfelt sympathy, and best wishes for your electoral success,
D.E.

HER, not HERE.
“May she and your parents, Barack H. Obama and S. Ann Dunham, rejoice tomorrow upon your victory.”
Correction: May she and your parents, Barack H. Obama and S. Ann Dunham, rejoice from on High tomorrow upon your victory.

“…give your condolences where it matters…”
He’s our president-elect, and he’ll be our president VERY soon. That doesn’t matter?
“…ppl who hate your guts…”
Why do you think Obama “hates our guts?”
“…and cant wait till the day you all die”
Don’t YOU believe he’s going to blow us all to smithereens? Yeah, right.
