    your lumping everything together. a yeshiva thats not the same type as bmg is grounds for inquiring about for shidduchim if your looking for a standard bmg type boy. however, its a misunderstanding that there are no other standard bmg type/caliber yeshivos.

    also, i wanna see if you would say “who cares if wut he does is not so common” if you were looking for a your daughter. Not saying to nix the shidduch necessarily, but out of the ordinary is a red flag

    Oyyoyyoy: EXACTLY THE POINT!!! Some guys are scared that they won’t be seen as mainstream if they don’t go to BMG. Therefore, they go there even though they don’t belong. Meanwhile, there are many other fine yeshivas they could learn in.

    maskim, just the issue is with the girls thinking they cant look elsewhere more than guys thinking they cant go elsewhere, even though their tulooy ze bze
