Beware Pay-Per-Call Phone Scams

there was once a tzeddaka thing on the phone– you would call in and there would be a shmooze on how to be a good housewife…. the phone number was long distance which i dont have so i asked my friend to make a 3 way. a few minutes before the scheduled time for this teleconference i spoke to my mother who commented that could be the way this organization is making money by getting a percentage from the company for every person that calls this number. Guess what i found out she was right and i didnt call this place in the end. ( if i am not mistaken all the people that called were charged)
