July 22, 2015 1:58 am at 1:58 am #1092482MRS PLONYParticipantUm, what do you do, just dump everything into a pot and boil it? I think my kids would rather go hungry. 🙁
July 22, 2015 2:27 am at 2:27 am #1092483👑RebYidd23ParticipantIf you put in starch, you sift it carefully so the soup isn’t lumpy. And it has to be stirred every few minutes.
July 22, 2015 3:01 am at 3:01 am #1092484Burnt SteakParticipantI never heard of Tuna Soup but I’ll come up with a great recipe.
Ingredients:
4 Cups Water
4 Cans of 5oz Canned Light Tuna in water.
2 tsp Olive Oil
1 Small Red Onion
1 Green Pepper
2 Tomatoes
2 Cloves of Garlic (add more if needed)
Cayenne Pepper
Ground Black Pepper
Paprika
2 Tblsp Honey
1/4 cup Bourbon
Step 1: Open all cans of tuna, drain, and reserve the liquid.
Step 2: Add the oil to a 3 Quart pot.
Step 3: Dice all the vegetables and saute in the oil until limp.
Step 4: Drizzle the honey and bourbon over the vegetables. Add spices to taste.
Step 5: Add tuna, tuna liquid, and water and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes.
Step 6: Realize you are making a dish that you’ve never heard of.
Step 7: Reassess life while finishing rest of bottle of bourbon using honey as a chaser.
Step 8: Midlife crisis.
Step 9: Get steak. (It doesn’t matter what cut or where the steak comes from).
Step 10: Fire up grill and prepare steak.
Step 11: Throw steak on grill.
Step 12: Get hungry from drinking too much.
Step 13: Eat the tuna soup (tastes much better than you thought it would)
Step 14: Realize way too late that you have steak on the grill.
Step 15: Weep uncontrollably as you turn off the grill.
Step 16: Write poetry and sad songs to remember the glorious BURNT STEAK.

July 23, 2015 12:16 am at 12:16 am #1092488Burnt SteakParticipantShushi: It doesn’t matter in the recipe. It gets burnt so its inedible.
July 23, 2015 12:35 am at 12:35 am #1092489sushibagelMemberBut you’re making the grill fleishig so make sure not to use the grill in the 9 days again. Can you be fleishig in the 9 days?
July 23, 2015 1:02 am at 1:02 am #1092490Burnt SteakParticipant*Whoosh* That is the sound of the humor going over your head.
Besides, who uses a grill that is not fleishig.
“Hold on Honey, I need to flip the mac and cheese, its been on the grill for 10 minutes now” – No religious Jew ever
July 23, 2015 1:27 am at 1:27 am #1092491👑RebYidd23ParticipantNope, it’s the sound of purposely ignoring humor in the 9 days.
July 23, 2015 1:42 am at 1:42 am #1092492sushibagelMemberWooooosh it seems to have gone over your head too.
