R’ Aharon Lichtenstein passed away this morning. He was Rosh Yeshiva of Har Etzion, as well as a son-in-law of Moreinu HaRav Yoshe Ber Soloveitchik zt”l.
He was from the biggest talmidei chachomim in the world today. I was told by a Rav of mine that his breadth of knowledge was on par with Rabbonim such as R’ Chaim Kanievsky. He was one of the most under-appreciated Roshei Yeshiva.
This is a huge loss to the Torah world.
