My spine tingles.
By the sweat of my brow, my brow sweats.
My fingers trace the pattern of my keyboard.
My esophagus slides up and down.
Is there such a thing as failing moderation??
Tayere yidden, hartzige brider!November 15, 2017 3:34 pm at 3:34 pm #1404374Pros and ConsParticipantI totally hear you. I have wondered the same. Certainly, there is a litmus test for this one. Post something that you feel should not pass Yeshiva World’s moderators, and see what happens.
The pro of this plan is that your query will be answered. But the con. The con. The con is that your brow may sweat by the sweat of your brow. And your esophagus may have an even longer sliding scale than usual. It is a risk, my friend.November 15, 2017 4:46 pm at 4:46 pm #1404429lowerourtuition11210ParticipantYes. I have had messages blocked. It is nothing to worry about. You can always ask the moderator why. They walk a very fine line and most of the time the reason for a message not being posted is because one violated one of the posting rules.
November 16, 2017 11:04 am at 11:04 am #1404740Pro schnappsParticipantSometimes i wonder what a person needs to do to climb the success ladder of becomimg a ywn moderator. How how how.
November 20, 2017 3:26 pm at 3:26 pm #1406401againstallthishockParticipantI am not writing to the public now. This is a private letter to the moderator. This is the only way I know how to get through to you. If you are reading this letter now its ganeiva. It is only for the moderator.
How exactly does your job work? How come it takes so long for you to moderate things? Please speak to your boss about getting a second moderator so things can move faster. Were in an age of microwaves and smartphones where everything is spontaneous. it looses its taam when people answer a few hours later.
November 20, 2017 3:39 pm at 3:39 pm #1406790pro geshmake yiddenParticipantOops. I think I did geneiva
November 20, 2017 4:45 pm at 4:45 pm #1407322👑RebYidd23ParticipantAgainstallthishock, when you submit a post here, it gets moderated by the moderators, and if they so choose, they can post it for the public to see. If they approve it, anyone is allowed to read it.
November 21, 2017 7:01 pm at 7:01 pm #1408595LightbriteParticipantDid we rule out that the OP’s symptoms are not the result of another medical condition?
What if the OP is suffering from an incessantly itchy mosquito bite on the OP’s left ankle?
November 21, 2017 7:27 pm at 7:27 pm #1408602Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantIf you only want the moderators to read a post, and no one else, you have to start off the post by writing – For moderators only, please do not post.
I know that you think that what you did was the same thing, but apparently it’s not, since it had different results.
November 21, 2017 7:27 pm at 7:27 pm #1408603Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantbtw, I was considering answering some of your questions, but then I realized that if I did that, you would figure out that I must have read your post, so I decided not to.
November 21, 2017 7:31 pm at 7:31 pm #1408615lowerourtuition11210Participantagainstallthishock: You also have to consider the possible time zone differences. I believe that some of the moderators (and there is more than just one) may live in EY and when we are posting they may be asleep. I’ve had posts sit in moderation for 3 – 5 hours.
November 22, 2017 12:24 am at 12:24 am #1408776👑RebYidd23ParticipantPOTUS himself is not a mod.
November 22, 2017 12:28 am at 12:28 am #1408780LightbriteParticipantOoops… wait OP, was yours a posted private post?
November 22, 2017 12:28 am at 12:28 am #1408781Lilmod UlelamaidParticipantI didn’t think there were any moderators in EY. I don’t know if it changed, but it used to be that posts were rarely moderated when it was the middle of the night EST but morning in EY (except for those times when 29 had insomnia, and decided to use it to help out posters in EY :))
November 22, 2017 8:09 am at 8:09 am #1408821lowerourtuition11210ParticipantLU: I have noticed a significant “slow down” daily around 3:00 PM EST lasting until 9:00 PM EST which would be 10:00 PM – 4:00 AM in EY. I surmised that some moderators were in EY.
