Until such time, Assoro b”teves can occur on a Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, but never on a Monday nor on a Saturday.
BTW, next year, Assoro b’Teves Shall be on a Friday. In 11 & 12 years time, Assoro b’Teves shall be 2 years running on a Friday, that being 51 years after the previous time, it was 2 years running on a Friday.
Asara B’Teves is a truly sad day. It is first mentioned by Yechezkel Hanavi, and it is a time for us all to do teshuva on mitzvos bein adam l’chaveiro.
