Does anyone suspect that various CR bloggers are consistantly faking their beliefs/identity? Maybe joseph is an MO female and possibly jewishfeminist is a BMG guy?
August 23, 2017 4:52 pm at 4:52 pm #1346454smerelParticipantI don’t know if people are faking their identity but I do suspect that many coffee room posters would have not turned out well had they actually grown up in an environment that holds of the haskafa they are pushing.
August 23, 2017 4:52 pm at 4:52 pm #1346449👑RebYidd23ParticipantMaybe Little Froggie is not actually a frog?
August 23, 2017 7:18 pm at 7:18 pm #1346560LightbriteParticipantIf LF is in fact a Toaddie, then I totally understand why he’d still refer to himself as a Froggie. People often confuse the two amphibians anyway.
August 24, 2017 2:31 am at 2:31 am #1346634Avi KParticipantMaybe no one here even exists. We were made up by magnates to attract people to read ads.
August 24, 2017 10:25 am at 10:25 am #1346660LightbriteParticipantAvi K: That’s really flattering… is that true? How and why does the CR exist?
August 25, 2017 6:29 am at 6:29 am #1347031Avi KParticipantLB, I thought that the CR exists to allow people to vent their frustrations on their fellow Jews without suffering consequences. This is actually beneficial as a safety valve. However, it could be that it is more for the spectators. I think therefor I am (René Descartes ). Of course, we could all be pseudonyms for politicians.

I’ve wondered about that whenever someone posts something that makes the hashkafa or opinion he is supposedly advocating look bad. Does he really hold of the hashkafa or is he actually against it and deliberately trying to make it look bad? (I think this happens with both/all sides).
August 25, 2017 12:30 pm at 12:30 pm #1347211Avram in MDParticipantLilmod Ulelamaid,

I am certain that this happens in the CR, and unfortunately it’s not an uncommon occurrence.
August 25, 2017 12:30 pm at 12:30 pm #1347219Yserbius123ParticipantJust Joseph. His entire schtick presents itself as a guy who has no idea what being frum means. So the implication is that he came to his hashkafos later in life, either as a BT or flipout. But he also occasionally mentions his “holy parents” basically painting them as some sort of monk-like levels of kedusha.
August 25, 2017 1:48 pm at 1:48 pm #1347238JosephParticipantSorry, you have the wrong address. I don’t have a break in my family yichus between Har Sinai and today in what is today called Chareidi/Ultra-Orthodox. And I know my genealogy back to Rashi.
August 25, 2017 2:04 pm at 2:04 pm #1347273Moshe1994ParticipantJoseph, you’re a direct descendant of Rashi? wow..
August 27, 2017 8:08 am at 8:08 am #1347726chabadgalParticipantlol I was wondering the same thing. But I’m completely real.
August 27, 2017 11:36 am at 11:36 am #1347882yitzchokmParticipantWhat’s the proper method to pinch myself, to find out if I’m real?
