May everyone learn from you and go in your way. In other words if WE ALL faced reality and admitted to Hashems direct wake up calls for serious teshuva or faced reality to a financial or health issue a person has then life would be so much better and happier with so much less problems since all issues would be faced and worked on to be solved immediately
May Mashiach come ASAP and may we all be in Yerushalyim very soon

There are roughly a billion Chinese, and only a handful of bureaucrats are responsible (whether by negligence/incompetence or malice, is a different matter). From what we know how the Chinese government works, there are probably a lot more Chinese who died of Covid19 than they are announcing.
August 10, 2020 12:35 pm at 12:35 pm #18908642scentsParticipantakuperman,
Obviously the question the OP raised was if the Chineses government are to blame about the virus, not the actual Chinese population.
Personally, I believe that due to the nature of the Chinese being so secretive it will take a while if ever, for the truth to be known. At this point its all speculation.
We do know that it originated in China, and that it was initially downplayed by the Chinese government.

August 11, 2020 12:29 pm at 12:29 pm #1891158jdf007ParticipantI live very far away. My county was one of those mentioned in the New York Times about this very topic.
First, I saw an article last week that said China alerted the WHO in January (I think it said January)when they had a mysterious unusual cluster of people dying of pneumonia with no explanation. Most people will now say (yeah, but they lied and covered it up before then!). HOWEVER, back to that New York Times article! In January/February the coroner in my county was one of many around the nation that said they had a mysterious and unusual spike of people dying from pneumonia. They all tested negative for the flu and no one knew what it was. I have many friends who had a real bad flu this year, and all tested negative. I lost count of the #. Non-Jewish, I live very far away. It was a mystery, and everyone moved on. I don’t recall hearing anyone notified the WHO.
Think about this the next time. And think about China trying to eradicate the virus, while America goes and…wishes it away? This isn’t fair, as really, we are pinning our hopes on vaccines and treatments to save the country.

Shanghai lab shut after posting the genome of the Covid19 virus.
All news reports indicated massive coverups going on in China with scientists and doctors that veered from the official line, to be punished.
These are just two examples.
August 11, 2020 2:18 pm at 2:18 pm #1891187jdf007Participant2scents – I agree, there is a lot of “coincidence” and such. Then there are people claiming this was in Madrid last fall! And what happened to the wet-market angle? It’s ashame we’ll probably never know now.
Regardless, I’m a little sore, living in a state that wants to do less than Sweden (I think you got about 30 guesses where I am!). I have state politicians who boast of wanting the entire population to be infected. I think we’re on our way. But, I know in this country, all around there were mysterious clusters of disease where no tests came back positive for anything, so they assumed it was a flu. Even though the tests said no. Morgues were busier than average with bilateral pneumonia, and it was a mystery of what caused it. What did anyone do? Move on with their day? Imagine if this outbreak was in the United States instead of Wuhan!
I remember seeing this on I think Jan 24th. Unlike the medical examiners in this country who seemed rather clueless, it was obvious something was wrong. I remember Dr. Fauci stating it’s no worse than a flu and others who said it will burn out before it got here.
The more I think about this recently, the more I’m in awe at the wisdom of how the world is run. I cannot fault them. They did what every organization, communist government, and corporation does. Hope it goes away and ignore it, but then they did something. I feel that this should be pointed out for perspective.August 11, 2020 3:06 pm at 3:06 pm #18911992scentsParticipantjdf007
Are you posting from China?
If the true numbers were transparent and the rapid transmission and the loss of treatment options were communicated, the world would have a chance to properly prepare for this pandemic.
August 11, 2020 8:59 pm at 8:59 pm #1891320HealthParticipant2scents -“the loss of treatment options were communicated,”
Actually, it’s the Chinese & South Koreans that came up with the Cure of HCQ or CQ plus Zinc for Covid19.
But the US Refuses to recognize it.
So we have the most Fatalities from any Country!August 13, 2020 5:11 pm at 5:11 pm #1891956n0mesorahParticipantSome science:
1)It is no longer absolutely certain that this virus originated in China.
2)This specific coronavirus was unknown in the Wuhan lab. It is unbelievable for it to have been genetically manipulated and not been discovered after this much scrutiny.
3) China had a less infectious mutation than Europe.
4) The data from Jan-Mar is lower because of less testing.
5) There is a gigantic amount of information coded into each virus. Of all the data that was decoded to this point of history, none of it is political. Absolute zero.
6) Viruses are part of our existence. Blame whomever you blame for your own existence.
August 13, 2020 6:25 pm at 6:25 pm #18919702scentsParticipantn0mesorah,
a. What are your sources for these claims.
b. Please tell us that your not going by the data that the Chinese government released.
August 13, 2020 6:36 pm at 6:36 pm #18919732scentsParticipant“Viruses are part of our existence. Blame whomever you blame for your own existence.”
yet we try very hard to minimize becoming infected from viruses, which is why we have vaccines and try not to release dangerous contageous viruses from labs.
August 13, 2020 8:24 pm at 8:24 pm #1891983n0mesorahParticipantDear Two,
There has not been a clear match in the wild for this virus. There are currently two theories as to what this means. 1) The virus was circulating in remote parts of China for years. 2) Maybe it did not originate in Yunnan Province. These are only guesses. It is still mainstream opinion that it emerged in humans in China sometime last year.I was not going by the data from China. If you look at the whole region (South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, etc.) there is no comparison to the western hemisphere. There are other factors also. But there has been significant research that claims the strain in Europe was more contagious.
August 13, 2020 8:26 pm at 8:26 pm #1891994HealthParticipant2scents -“try not to release dangerous contageous viruses from labs.”
What are your sources for these claims to blame a Lab in Wuhan?
Are you a conspiracy theorist?August 14, 2020 10:22 am at 10:22 am #18921112scentsParticipanthealth,
I was responding to n0m, who stated that viruses are a part of our existence. As to dismiss the fact that viruses are harvested in labs and there is a possibility that they might have been released.
August 14, 2020 11:38 am at 11:38 am #1892130n0mesorahParticipantAnything is possible. If this coronavirus was released from a lab, it likely was not from the one in Wuhan.
August 14, 2020 6:03 pm at 6:03 pm #18922002scentsParticipantWith the extremely rapid rate of transmission it would be fair to assume that the areas that were infected first were the first ones to be exposed to the virus. Which is why some are saying that it was released from a lab and maybe the Wuhan lab.
Why are you saying that it was not the Wuhan lab?
August 14, 2020 7:06 pm at 7:06 pm #1892209n0mesorahParticipantDear Two,
The Wuhan lab was not a secret one. It collaborated with many international scientists. Over fifty american scientists have visited the lab. This strain of coronavirus was unknown to all of them. It is more likely to assume that it was in some secret lab, than to believe it was kept hidden in the Wuhan lab from so many experts. [Or that they are lying.]
