Anything the Democrats Touch Gets Worse

I think most public schools (at least outside south) teach a lot about race. I think the ranting about “CRT” reflects a more general phenomenon – schools not teaching about US history and government properly, but only complaining about what they want extra.

We, Jews, are doing the same, paying attention to what we did not get. There is less excuse for us, given that we know a lot of history and can appreciate the difference. There is a school of thought that it is better for Jews to live among bad goyim to prevent assimilation, but, based on recent history, I am not sure whether we can calibrate antisemitism high enough to keep us in line, but low enough to keep us alive. A better theory (Rav Shach, for example) is that we need antisemitism only when Jews assimilate.

“How is there systemic racism?”

As a result of decades, and decades of institutionalized racism, there are many disparities that persist today. Look up the history of redlining that directly contributed to the housing disparity that exists today (This is but one classic example)

IS this a real question? OF course people don’t. I assume there’s a typo here. Though this isnt example of systemic racism, since this is due to individual racists not a system

Not skin color per se, but yes they have a harder time getting into colleges due to decades of systemic discrimination that prevented their parents from going to college, prevented their parents from getting higher paying jobs to afford college

Yes. OF course. Though again this is probably not systemic rather due to individual racist employers.

Your questions indicate you don’t understand what systemic racism is.

Hopefully your kids will get a good CRT course intheir school, and you can learn about it with them

Excuse me, if there’s systemic racism it’s against whites. Black businesses are promoted, not white, black history is promoted, not white, black artists are promoted, not white, blacks are admittied to university and college based on their skin color, not whites, I can go on.

The racism I have felt as a Jew was from blacks, not whites. So stop it with the systematic racism against blacks. It’s ridiculousl.

All I’m saying is that racism exists within the black communities just as much as in the white communities. Blacks have just as many opportunities today , and oftentimes more, than whites. They are only victims of their own disfunction within their families of missing fathers and out of wedlock children.

Philosopher – Your comments show how you would benefit from education that highlights and focuses on the black experience in America. Try reading about the black experience. Recognize that blacks receive longer prison sentences for the same crimes committed by white people. Feel for the mother of Trayvon Martin who looked suspicious because he was black. Feel for the kids and parents at Hobgood elementary school. Be honest with yourself and recognize how different your reaction would be if it was a black mob storming mostly white capitol instead of white Trump supporters. Crazykanoi, and talking about black vs white mobs, I have seen black mobs looting and rioting, setting fire to cities and businesses, setting fire to police stations AND FEDERAL BUILDINGS for months with no consequences whatsoever.

The Biden administration is still in its early stages. It should have the opportunity to develop and sustain a comprehensive strategy compatible with domestic and international necessities. Democracies evolve in a conflict of factions. They achieve greatness by their reconciliations.

CK, you have some chutzpah. Blacks have killed Jews, many blacks hate Jews, I have personally had blacks displaying racism towards me. When have you ever seen Jews do that to blacks?! Never!

I have been in a very dangerous situation on public transportation where two blacks said they’ll kill me and described the way they’d do that. I played it cool like it didn’t concern me and went off the next stop. A frum Jew would never do that!!!

The reason so many blacks are in prison is due to their own violence and most often it’s against each other.

Look at the Jews’ circumstances after the Holocaust, our grandparents were not better off. How do you know I am affluent? I have no clue what members of my community are, I don’t look into their pocketbooks and if some of my friends are affluent I have nothing from that, I’m just happy for them.

Thank Hashem that you were born into a community that is affluent. That even if you are not wealthy you can easily make connections with people that are. Thank Hashem that you have access to many members of our community that can provide funds for investments and provide help when needed. Recognize that many people in America do not have that ability. Recognize that communities of color tend to be poorer and that they do not have the same access to capital and aid. Try to care for others instead of hating them. Try to understand the difficulties that others face. Instead of focusing on the bad focus on the good. Trumpian right-wing rage is not good for your health or well-being it is also not good for political discourse in this country. Next time there is an instance of Police violence don’t reflexively dismiss it. Read about Emmett Till. Read about the lynchings in the Jim Crow south. Don’t hide from history learn from it.

CK, only a liberal can think of an average frum person making connections with someone who is wealthy that they should bail them out, take charity, a loan, etc. Most frum people work hard and earn a living honestly. Yes, charity is b”H given beautifully in this community but it is because so many give, not take! Our lives do not revolve around which rich relatives can bail us out! That’s why the frum communities are productive communities.

Candaleza Rice spoke out against CRT and says that blacks are not victims and neither is it productive to disparage whites based on their skin color which is what CRT is all about. Candace Owens, the black conservative says the same. As do many prominent black figures say the blacks are not victims and that CRT is garbage.

IMO the biggest pushers of BLM and CRT are liberal whites. White liberals feel virtuous that they are on the side of the “poor victims of racism” so they are pushing a narrative that is totally skewed.
