Any reason why there is thread after thread opened up about seminaries? If you are looking to go, ask your friends, your neighbors, teachers , people you know , who can direct you and give you the proper guidance. Why ask complete strangers who do not know you – you value their opinion?
It seems that the social aspects of seminary are as important or more important then the curriculum to the girls they seem to want to fit in to the type of girls that will be there.
I was wondering the exact same thing! I don’t know why someone would listen to seminary advice from complete strangers who don’t know them! And why don’t their schools have people they can ask for information about the places they want to go?
They’re all the same anyway, so might as well go by what most random people in the CR say.

people ask for info about the sems mostly. There are wayy too many different sems nowadays BH, and if someone is told to look into a particular one, they dont neccesarily know anyone who went there. Also if the sem advisor doesnt know the hashkasha or ”type” of a newer sem. Perhaps they want an objective opinion.
There are very few threads about yeshivos.

Wow!! It’s about time someone addresses this topic. All they do is talk about seminary for a year and end up there wasting the year trying to figure out why it isn’t like they heard it would be. It makes no difference where you go! With yeshivas it actually does, because you learn there and may actually end up there for as long as 5-10 years depending on which yeshiva you end up in. A yeshiva is a way of life, seminary is a year in Israel. Sorry but if you want to talk about seminary pick one of the four million threads already open, or better yet open your own site just for seminary chatting! End rant.
I’m a BY girl who uses internet. Which seminary do you think I’ll fit into best – Bais Yaakov Intensive, BJJ, Hadar, or Bnos Chava? Which one has the best girls? Which one has the best lunches and trips? Which one is the most yeshivish but openminded? Which one is best for shidduchim? Which one is the cheapest? If I’m adopted do you think I’ll have a harder time getting in??

I am on a mobile device, so that would ‘t work. Anyway I worked it out and I am unblocked so it does not really matter.
Why can’t you have a different browser on a mobile device? Unless your IP address was blocked, in which case you could use a proxy (even on a mobile device).
I think it was my IP, the only way I finally got a little acces was from the YWN site. On the side there is links to the top 5 recent topics..
hahahahahah i love this thread its sooo right ! y so many seminary threads ! no one cares about it and its a yearly occurence and gets boring ! i like the idea of opening a special room just for seminary threads ! go for it !
