This topic is to discuss acts of chesed we experience.

Today, I was in Boro Park and had to take the subway. I had 3 metrocards in my pocket, and was trying to figure out which one had money left on it, when the telltale rumble began upstairs. This chassidish man swiped his metro card for me, and we both just made the train by 2-3 seconds! It was a big chessed and I gave him 1.51 that was in my pocket, but he said I should just pass it on.

    Mi K’amcha Yisroel!

i always appreciate when people do chesadim to me so i always like to return the favor when i can, jew or non jew alike. just yesterday i was shopping and this woman had a whole bunch of things in her hands and a couple things fell on the ground so i just went and picked them up. you should’ve seen her face; it was priceless! she was so happy that i picked up the 2 things that fell! she was soo appreciative of me and i just did a small thing of picking up a few things! apparently it goes a longg way!!!

I make a point of praising everyone’s kids. Especially people in bad neighborhoods, since I think it prevents child abuse. I’m very friendly and spend a lot of time commuting, so there are plenty of opportunities.

Anyway, so one day, I meet this lady and her 3 year old daughter. Her daughter was a really social kid, so I did my usual thing about how sweet her daughter is, clearly reflects the mother’s upbringing, and how she’ll be so popular and successful as an adult, with a couple of comments on how hard it must be to raise such a kid with good manners, etc.

Boy am I surprised when every single time I take this route, I meet this women without her daughter, and she comes over to me, introduces herself, and asks me how I’m doing. (fortunately her daughter stood out so I remembered the incident) She really was affected by it! It’s so nice to feel like it has an effect. Turns out I’m not the only nice person out there, this lady is lovely and it keeps me safe in this neighborhood now that I have an acquaintance.

    ??? ???? ?? ??? ???? ?? ???? ????? ??????.
