im a begginer guitar player and want to purchase a new guitar as my old one is not so good… im lookng for a price range from 100-150 for acoustiic and want a matte guitar. does anyone know which companies are good/bad and wat i should b lookiing for? wat type of wood etc.. also is fender or yamaha or rogue one u would reccomend? thanks n advance:)

For a beginner you want something with a slim neck that makes it easier to get your hands on the frets.
Some of the best slim necks are on guitars made by Ibanez.
For 150 you can get a very good guitar by them.
If not Ibanez, also try Epiphone.
Make sure you sign up for lessons, there are some really great books and videos and online resources but there is no substitute for in person instruction.
Do not expect to be proficent in a short period of time, you get results based on the ammount of effort you put in!

I reccomend using the same style instument that you eventually want to play. Insisting on a slim neck limits you to nylon stringed guitars without truss rods.
Of the brands already mentioned The only one I’d stay away from is Rogue.

the reason i specifically want this one and no other is beacuse it has a satin finish and is matte and all other matte ones are not n my price range.
November 2, 2012 1:57 am at 1:57 am #902352MiddlePathParticipantGood recommendation by crisis. Also, I’d suggest looking into a brand called Laguna, which is owned by Guitar Center. I’ve played them and I think they feel great. Otherwise, I’d go with an Ibanez or Yamaha (for that kind of money).

You may want to also check out their used guitar section

I dont know this specific guitar, but personally I don’t like the sound low priced fender acoustic guitars that Ive played also I was told by a popular guitar teacher in to stay away from them. however They are as playable as any other
and if you are not looking for great sound you can get it
