    I’m talking about when reporters show up to cover a story about reporting abusers and we treat them with hostility, which usually ends up playing right into their hands. How should we react though?

    Ignore them.

    Ignoring them usually helps them to further their agenda by showing how we we won’t even acknowledge the problem, on the other hand when we do engage with them they twist around our words. So is it a lose lose situation or is there a sensible way to deal with them ?
