1) They only want people who are familiar with the area. For safety and efficiency reasons.
2) There are various agencies that are leading the search and guiding the volunteers. Their first language is Ivrit. For safety and efficiency there should only people who will not have communication errors because of mistranslation.

August 28, 2014 4:14 pm at 4:14 pm #1030099Letakein GirlParticipantHashem, no!!!!!
I’m crying so much right now I can’t even see the screen. It’s too much already- three bachurim kidnapped and killed, an innocent four year old child killed by a rocket, infants being injured and even killed, SO many soldiers killed, the entire Eretz Yisrael constantly on alert for sirens that signal possible death, and now a 23 year old bachur that visited Eretz Yisrael to recharge his spiritual batteries- DEAD?!
So many families were ripped apart in the past two months. So many parents are crying right now, remembering their beloved children… How are we just supposed to go on with life, Hashem?!
How?!
August 28, 2014 5:20 pm at 5:20 pm #1030100a maminParticipantLeTakein Girl: Yes this is a very bitter pill to swallow… we were so hopeful, so many tefillos. Rest assured no tefilla gets lost…it all goes up to the keesay hakovid! I know exactly what you are feeling, every morning as soon as I got up I checked the news… today was no different, then I came to work and found this awful news… I am having a very hard time being able to concentrate on anything else! You are not alone, we are all feeling the same…
Hakadush Baruch Hu should watch over all of us and this new year should bring our final redemption!
August 28, 2014 6:18 pm at 6:18 pm #1030101ToiParticipantdoes anyone have levaya details?
August 28, 2014 7:01 pm at 7:01 pm #1030102awaitingdawnParticipantWe’re all crying…
Maybe we should observe the timing-this happened as Chodesh Elul was being heralded in and take a message- to do TESHUVA…
Amen! May we truly be zoche to greet Mashiach this year!!!
