The line was crawling slowly as shoppers moved their carts towards the checkout counter and paid for their groceries. Boruch (not his real name) was awaiting his turn, when he checked his list and realized he had forgotten the tissues. Why should we do something incorrect to gain financially or to gain pleasure, when Hashem is the One in control and will provide for us in some other way. Why should we be upset if a competitor opens up nearby and draws our clients. Our income has been decided, and Hashem has myriad other ways to arrange the funds we need – and He can make us lose that what we gained through improper means! Besides the Mitzva of Bitachon, we will also lead happier, healthier lives and run them according to the Torah, when we believe, feel and live knowing Hashem is All-Capable and is with us at all times.
