Which of these 2 possibilities does the above halacha prove? The fact that we wait until it is vadai layleh so as not to encroach on the halacha of temimos, does that indicate that by accepting shevuos early one must be turning the last day of sefira into shevuos, or that it is still the 49th day, just that there is an issur melacha?

The same Taz that says that you don’t eat in the succa once you made an early Shmini Atzeres, that same Taz says you can’t daven Mariv early on Shavuos night. The Taz holds that making Shabbos or Yom Tov early only affects the halachos of Shabbos and Yom Tov, but it’s still still Friday or Erev Yom Tov in regard to Mila, hefsek tahara for a nida, etc. Therefore if you’d make an early Shavous you wouldn’t be allowed to do melacha, but it’s still daylight outside so you wouldn’t have Temimos. That’s why he says you must wait until Tzeis to daven Mariv.

It seems that the Taz holds that the idea “mikadesh yisroel vihazmanim” allows us to create the kedushah of yom tov on erev yom tov. I don’t know if the Taz would hold the same thing regarding shabbos.

How about davening Maariv earlier on Nite 2 of Pesach? thus inducing the Temimus also at the beginning of the 7 weeks?

    147,

How does that help? You cannot end the first day yom tov early?

And even if you accepted the first day of sefirah (or as you would say sefiro) early, which you can’t, it would only be ??????, it would not help for ??????.

But suppose the real cut off is sunset and not Tzeis haKochovim {& after all this is why we commence Shabbos before sunset in case sunset is the cut off} then why shouldn’t this option facilitate?

Just as cannot end 1st day Pesach early, by same token cannot commence 1st day Shovu’os late.

Since the pasuk is “shevah shabbosos temimos tehyenah” why aren’t we required to make each one of the weeks complete? So if the 8th day of the ommer is Shabbos it should be assur to make early shabbos since this is cutting off the end of week 1.

A- Maybe the difference is that bringing in shabbos early does not conflict with the temimos of the past weak, since shabbos is unrelated to sefirah, as appose to shavuos which defines the end of day 49.
