Here’s a thought experiment: We know there are many Charedim who wish for the peaceful dissolution of the state of Israel. It would have been if the State never existed. What if Charedim had an opportunity (in a parallel universe, perhaps) to establish a state of their own, to govern themselves and those who live among them, in any way they like. This is all pre-moshiach of course (again, it’s just a thought). What kind of society would they create? Which country would it most closely resemble today? Would you want to live in such a state?

It depends who would run it. If it were ran by our gedolim and they had full authority and there was no risk of “askanim” and extremists taking over I would be all for it but this is wishful thinking because we all know that the Eida would launch a revolution and things would get bloody. Until Moshiach comes and we have real ahavas yisroel and all those involved in klal work will do things lishma and not for gayva and kuvid for this cant be a reality.

It would closely resemble the Vaad arba Aratzos, or Monroe.

I heard from the brisker Rosh Yeshiva that the Brisker Rov that even were the chofetz chayim to be Prime minister it would be still be forbidden to have a state. (i heard it myself in Chumash Shiur.)

WIY: Ahavas Yisrael brings Mashiach, not vice versa.

Actually once Moshiach comes there will be Ahavas Yisroel but true Ahavas Yisroel can bring Moshiach but looking at how splintered we are now its sadly quite hard to imagine Moshiach coming about that way.

WIY: Ad’raba. We should work on it so that Mashiach can come that way. Because if it doesn’t then it would be very bad for K’lal Yisrael.

Now this topic sounds really fest. I think we should revive it.

Ok. It would resemble the old Yishuv.
