I wear A I stone shirts I see they stopped making the thicker thing by the buttons similar to brooks brothers. Does anyone know why? Then I see they make it thin like Trywhitt but then I would just get Tyrwhitt cuz they have 3 for $99. The only point of A I stone was to get a shirt that looks like Brooks Brothers but cost only $33 instead of $112 but now I don’t see the difference since A I stone made it thin at the button area. Does anyone agree with this? Also which shirt rips the fastest and which last the longest? What’s actually the nicest shirt? Is it Eton or SuitSupply or Banana Republic or Boss???

    Anyway the shirt dillema!!!!

Don’t buy shirts better than your spelling, it is geniva daas for future mehutonim. That’s a real dilemma

What type of collar and sleeves do you take? Do you have the option of choosing with CT and BB ? Otherwise LE is an option because they make to order. Anyways I am happy to see people are מקפיד on s nicely pressed shirt. If all else fails there is always a Rebbishe hemd.

Wear a blue shirt and all these problems go away.

I’ve been very happy with Paul Fredrick shirts which are a little longer than the others and hold up well. They used to frequently run 3/$99 sales which I haven’t seen in a while.

My husband will only wear paul Fredrick’s. They last long and wash easily. Son now wears them too.

I’m quite disappointed that Burlington stopped carrying (as far as i can tell) white shirts. I found very good quality shirts there for 10 each, sometimes a little more or less.

Better questions: How much does Hashem want us to spend on shirts? And how much does Hashem want us to think about the first question?

@huju, there has not been a novi who gets messages from hashem for over 2000 years, so nobody knows.

Ujm; i don’t have a set store anymore; i just chop a rein whenever i see a sale for something of decent material under 20

no novi required, we have chachamim – spend on yourself less than your income, on your wife more than your income. So, find out how much your wife spends on clothes, and spend way less.

Im a big fan of jos a bank traveler dress shirts. On sale they can be about 30 dollars and they are very durable and have that little bit of extra room in the sleeve that makes all the difference when putting on tefillin.

byy, there are many completely white dress shirts on the Paul Frederick website even some clearance at $28. Unfortunately many are slim which I can’t wear. Sign up for their Emails and you will get sale notifications.

    Always ask questions

Thanks for the comment about my spelling. Is it that you don’t wear shirts so you needed to say something so you picked my spelling? Or you’re just stam not sure how to respond? I feel like I’m dealing with a baby here…..

Hope I didn’t offend you, I am just trying to help you solve this issue. If you learn grammar, you’ll earn more and will be able to afford your favorite shirt. You will also find a shidduch with great middos who will tell you what shirt you really like

Who said I’m not a girl speaking. Assumption one that’s stupid. What does shirts have with middos and shidduchim. Assumption two that’s even stupider. You are responding to me and know what I’m saying but you seem to say I don’t have any grammar then how are you answering and knowing what I’m saying. Assumption three the stupidest of all. Usually leave the worst for the last!!!!

    Kinderlach, kinderlach, kinderlach.

Bochur, I am taking you at your word. A girl is forbidden to wear man’s clothes.

It is possible to understand what someone is saying even when he is messing up with the sentence structure. As you will notice, soon after joining the adult world, that a lot of (first) impression are based on written communications. No employer or self-respecting balabos will make contact to a potential employee/hatan who wrote any of your sentences in the latest post. Sad but true. So, you will not get a chance to even demonstrate your wonderful white shirt (unless you attach a photo to the written correspondence). Strunk “Elements of style” is a very thin old book that will help you avoid 90% of errors.
