    Is it shayach to have such an arrangement with farmers like we do with לומדים ?

    There’s an organization called “Keren HaShviis” that does exactly that.

    If it would be shayach, then you could get the same mitzvah by supporting those who keep shmita. But how can I know with reasonable certainty?
