[VIDEO & PHOTOS BELOW] As temperatures soared, people slowly made their way up the hill to the kever of Shmuel HaNavi outside of Ramot in Jerusalem to daven on the day of his yartzheit. While more than a thousand people are expected to arrive this evening at the kever, this year the organizational capacity of the usually tumultuous yearly event has so far proved to be successful.
Kever of Shmuel Hanavi, is located between the Ramot and Givat Ze’ev neighborhoods of Yerushalayim. Hundreds of soldiers and policemen were on the scene to secure the area and to keep the order. Various organizations provided free food and drink to all the people who came from near and far, as they beseeched Hashem with their tefilos and bakashos at the kever.
