  1. I drive passed that intersection every day i cant see anything happening there unless a) there was another car b) he was speeding @ 90+ or c) he was drunk

  2. I agree, I drive through that intersection daily and is so quiet, how much more so at 4:15 AM.
I can’t imagine what on earth caused such an accident that he died on the spot.
I wonder if there were any animals involved, it is a woody area.

  3. Could everybody forget about the chopper already? This was a tragic accident, made worse by the fact that it happened to one of the people whose line of duty is to protect us from harm.

  4. Does it really make a difference to anyone if he was speeding??!! Why is it that every time there is an accident of this sort, the general public immediatly begins to blame the victim?! although he may be at fault, CANT WE AT LEAST WAIT FOR THEM TO EXTRACT HIM FROM THE WRECK BEFORE WE START POINTING FINGERS??!! I don’t understand it…

  5. i go tup at about 4:15 this morning and i heard sirens as if something crazy happend . i dont remember when the last tima was that i heard such nois at 4:15 am

  6. Being a Flatbush resident I usually don’t voice my opinion, with regards to any Lakewood news, however, forget all the narishkeit talk . I think the Rabbonim should make it a Chiev on all the Bnei Torah who are able to make it to his funeral should do so. (Not saying they should C”V go into the tumah.(stand outside). In the past there were problems with the Yiddin and the police. This would make a very big KIDDUSH HASHEM and maybe help the relationship in the future.

  7. Shloimy, as a Lakewood resident, I strongly second the motion. Disagreements non-withstanding, we should take this opportunity and make a kiddush Hashem.

  8. I was passing the seen at 3:15 PM and a Channel 4 tv car was there videoing the sight. I asked if they have anymore info. They told me that he was responding to a call by another cop. Since he was responding to a call the camera was on. They also told me he was not speeding and he was weering a seatbelt. they put a cross at the sight ere he crashed.

  9. I was looking to purchase a home right off that intersection (near Whitesville Road) just a few days ago. As I was looking at the property, close to dusk, I saw 2 deer in the woods behind the home…

Our thoughts are with the Patrolman’s family.
