Police have charged three players from the Ocean Grove Football Club after an alleged racist attack on a Jewish man on Simchas Torah (as reported HERE on YW). It is believed one of the players has a leadership role with the club.
Victoria Police Assistant Commissioner Kieran Walshe confirmed the charges today.
Mr Walshe said one player had been charged with insulting language, one with insulting language and theft and one with insulting language and assault.
He could not confirm when the three men would face the charges in court.
