Police were summoned to investigate an attempted arson attack against the Yad Shabtai Shul in the Rova Vav area of Ashdod on Monday morning, the last day of Pesach. The attempted attack and minimal damage near a window of the shul were noticed during the predawn hours.

A preliminary fire marshal report points to an intentional act. Police are not ruling out an attempted break-in aimed at stealing tzedaka funds and valuables. The investigation continues.
